HUGE NEWS FOR PVFC!

We would like to announce the return of Pascoe Vale's own David Gennaccaro in 2024.

After beating cancer a few years ago and suffering 2 ACL injuries, the home grown legend has worked hard to get himself back to where he needs to be and we can't wait to have him back on the field in 2024.

We admire the resilience that he has shown and are stoked to have him back out on the track with us!

We are pleased to announce the appointment of James Bradler as our U14 Girl's coach for 2024.

After his first year of coaching in 2023 - James lead our U14 girls to the finals!!

We are excited to have him back in 2024.

UNDER 12 GIRLS COACH ANNOUNCED!

We keep the good news rolling as we are excited to announce our new U/12 Girls coach for 2024, Emelia 'Millzy' Yassir.

Millzy has had an outstanding season with Richmond AFLW Team and was named in the AFLPA 22 under 22 squad.

She now looks to coaching and we are excited to have Millzy back at the club in 2024 developing our girls program!

NEW SIGNING!

We are pleased to announce the new signing of Tom 'Hof' Hofert for 2024.

Tom is a 21 year old and a highly skilled Ruckman standing at 205cm tall.

Starting his junior career in QLD playing for the Coomera Magpies AFC, he then moved on to Labrador Tigers where he was a premiership winner.
The Hof was also recognized and got an opportunity with the Gold Coast Academy program in 2021.

In 2023, Tom played some great footy for Port Melbourne in the VFL and we look forward to seeing him develop even more!

Congratulations to our U12 Girls for achieving a 3rd-place finish in the NIB Junior Footy Relay Competition at Ikon Park last Saturday.

They displayed immense determination and ran their hearts out, facing off against two boys' teams and another girls' team.

The Pacco family takes great pride in the girls and their exceptional dedication.

Jeremy is a 22 years old Inside & two way midfielder who loves the contested ball and handy around goals.

Jeremy whilst only being 22 has a great CV and continues to develop each year.

PVFC - please join us in welcoming Jake Moorhead to the Panthers.

Jake comes to us from Strathfieldsaye in the Bendigo Football League where he was co-captain, 2 x Premiership winner and the 2022 Michelsen Medal Winner (Best in comp).

The midfielder also spent some time in the Essendon VFL in 2023 playing a handful of games under Leigh Tudor.

We are excited to see what Jake can bring to our Senior group in 2024.

NEW SIGNING FOR 2024!

We want to give a warm welcome to Mo Yassine, a talented and dynamic footballer who played a number of games at Richmond VFL in 2023 and West Preston where Mo was taking his game to a new level.

Mo started his footy at Roxburgh Park as a junior, played some senior footy at Westmeadows and spent a number of years apart of the Bachar Houli Foundation.

We are very excited to bring Mo's speed and goal sense to the Panthers 2024 campaign.

AFL Victoria would like to share a few initiatives that they will be rolling out over the break to keep football front of mind throughout the community well into the Summer months.

 Summer Hub – Ascot Vale (Fairbairn Park)

Summer Hub - Ascot Vale (Fairbairn Park) will run from 19/10/2023 for 4-8 weeks (depending on the program or competition) at Fairbairn Park from 4-8pm (depending on the program or competition).

Auskick - Participants aged 4-8 will be able to take part in this shorter-run program as the best first experience learning Australian football. Run by a team of talented AFL staff members, the after-school program will teach Auskickers how to play footy via fun, game-based activities.

Superkick – (formally known as Junior X) Participants aged 8-12 will participate in a 5-week program called Superkick. Superkick is next level fun for children who are new to footy or want to continue to grow their skill levels. It will contain skills and real game simulation in one session with 10-15 minutes at the start allocated to a warm-up/skill development based activity and 40-45 minutes for a 9v9 game..

AFL 9s Youth - Participants aged 13-17 will play in a 6-week competition called AFL 9’s – Youth. There will be U14, U16 and U18 Mixed and Girls age groups and divisions. To register a team for the u14s, you can follow the link below and find all the info you need at this stage. The competition will run for 6 weeks (inclusive of 1 week of finals) from Thursday 19/10. Games will consist of 2 x 20 minute halves and take place between (roughly) 5:00-7:00pm.

2023 AFL Futures Match

There’s a momentous game happening on the MCG tomorrow and I’m not talking about the AFL Grand final. At 9.35am the 2023 AFL Futures Match is being played starring Pascoe Vale FC’s very own Isaac Kako, playing for team Selwood.

Isaac is one of 45 players from around the country who has been selected to compete in the match, which is a tremendous achievement!

The match will be broadcast live and free on the AFL website and AFL Live Official App.

Congratulations Isaac on your selection and good luck tomorrow, the PVFC is proud of you!

It is with great excitement and pride that the PVFC wants to announce Leigh Tudor as it Senior Football Coach for 2024.

Leigh has one of the most remarkable records as an AFL Assistant Coach. His knowledge of the game dates back to his playing days with North Melbourne, followed by Geelong which culminated in 68 Games and Grand Final appearances in 1994 & 1995.
As a coach, Leigh has held various positions including Calder Cannons assistant coach, Western Jets head coach in Victoria’s premiere Under 18 Competition, before breaking into the VFL / AFL System.
Leigh was the coach of Geelong’s 2007 VFL Premiership and head of development before undertaking roles as an Assistant Coach at St Kilda, Sydney and North Melbourne, all of whom either played in Grand Finals or Preliminary Finals.
Currently Leigh was the Development Coach at Essendon which includes being the Senior Coach of the clubs VFL team.

Leigh has been coaching at the highest level for 18 years and completed a level 4 coaching standard one of only approx 20 people in the country to have done so.

Known for his eye for talent and the ability to communicate with players one on one, Leigh has stayed ahead of the game and its trends, making him a sort after coach and one PVFC is lucky to have won the services of.

Welcome, Ahmed Saad!

Ahmed who spent time with the St Kilda in the AFL as a dynamic forward with speed to burn, then spent one season with Coburg VFL kicking 50 goals and winning the league goal kicking.

He then spent the last six seasons with West Preston where he won back to back premierships as Captain in the Northern Football League and kicked 316 goals in 72 games. He won multiple league goal kicking awards and was named in team of the year on four occasions.

One of Ahmed's passions is working with young Muslim and Multicultural athletes helping them achieve their dreams and he has long standing relationships with many of our recently successful under 18's and will be taking on a formal role at the club in developing our youth as part of his commitment at the Panthers.

We can't wait to have Saady on board!
