What a treat, about 100 different plants covered tonight with samples to see, touch and smell.
John Edmonds has such a wealth of knowledge.
And for those who are financial members of our club, the video of tonight's talk is available to watch over and over as a reference.
A MUST buy pocket book that John also wanted to mention.
Makes it easy to identify when you are out and about. With map, leaf, buds, flower drawing and photo of tree and bark.

Varroa mite update β Almond pollination season to proceed Agriculture Victoria has taken steps to ensure this yearβs almond pollination season goes ahead with permits to be issued to Victorian, Queensland and South Australian beekeepers allowing them to enter the Sunraysia region.
Update from AHBIC...
APIS FLOREA IN PORT MELBOURNE
AHBIC has been advised by the Office of the Australian Chief Plant Protection Officer that a nest of Apis florea, the dwarf honey bee, was found on the underside of a vehicle on 6 April 2022 that
was shipped from Thailand. They have been destroyed and a queen bee along with 120 workers were on the nest. There were no eggs, larvae or brood. The vehicle was at an Approved Arrangement Site in Port Melbourne.
Upon examination, no Tropilaelaps mites were detected; however, two of the worker bees had Euvarroa c.f. sinhai mites on them.
