*EVENT POSTPONED*
Dear all attendees, vendors, artists and contractors;
Due to the severe flooding disaster in Maribyrnong River and surrounds, I'm writing this post to let you all know that the Festival of Lights will have to be postponed.

While alternative venues were available, I have made a decision to postpone the event in respect of families who have been left stranded without their homes. I have seen the reports of people and pets being carried out with rescue boats and my heart goes out to all of you.
A big thank you to SES, rescue teams and everyone else involved in the rescue operations.
I apologize for any inconvenience and will advise of the new date as soon as we have rescheduled.
To the families affected by the floods, you are not alone, our entire teams thoughts and condolences are with you all.

I would like to offer food and essential packs delivered to anyone affected by the floods.
‘Reaching out inner the West’ are a registered organisation who will prepare freshly cooked meals for us to deliver.
Please send us a message here, email us on [email protected] or call on 0424755540 to arrange any food and essential packs.

For our food vendors if you have prepared any cooked food, please contact me and we will purchase any prepared food from you to donate out to reduce waste and loss as much as possible.

Thank you to City of Maribyrnong for assisting us in this situation, especially Paul Shea from the festivals team who has worked tirelessly to assist the event moving forward in this disaster.

Looking forward to coming back at a date in future and hope you will all be back to support us at that time.
