Look at the difference after only 2 treatments. The swelling has gone down so much, the patient is wearing rings for the first time in 7 years ❤️

Medicinal Leech therapy is now offered at the Your Health Place clinic in Glenhuntly. I haven’t used them since COVID started, but they’re back now.

Have you heard of Hirudotherapy (medicinal leech therapy) before? Do you know it’s incredibly safe and effective for cardiovascular conditions, arthritic and other joint / inflammatory disorders, such as bursitis, as well as many others (I promise I’ll write an article soon).

Do you know leeches are used at Australian hospitals? Do you know their saliva contains hundreds of bio-active compounds which have been studied extensively and cannot be synthetically replicated? (Not for the lack of trying)

Oats and berries - the ultimate breakfast. Both are full of antioxidants that protect you against heart disease, cancer, hypertension. Both contain soluble and insoluble fiber to stabilize your blood sugar, lower your cholesterol and prevent conscription. Both are low in calories, and provide a decent amount of protein (in oats), vitamins and minerals.

An interesting topic came up in one of the Facebook groups. When I looked into it, the research on the subject is very conflicting. In my understanding and experience it certainly is real. There are studies demonstrating the same neural activation patterns in people who tend to be overweight / obese in anticipation of highly palatable hyper caloric foods, as in people addicted to substances in anticipation of those substances. A literature review published in 2018 found that food addiction is more in line with substance use disorder than a behavioral one.

I love getting texts like this! A testament to what dedication and good food can do. This man had type 2 diabetes for 20+ years, fatty liver and chronic iron deficiency. He dabbled in plant based for a while and saw some improvement, but after he committed to it fully for 6 weeks his fasting blood sugar came down to 5.5 from 12, his diabetes meds down to 1 a day (previously 8!), pending further review in 2 months. The first text is a copy paste from his specialist.
