Based on Meredith Willson's six-time-Tony-Award-winning musical comedy, The Music Man Jr. features some of musical theatre’s most iconic songs and a story filled with wit, warmth and good old-fashioned romance. The Music Man JR. is family entertainment at its best – a bold, brassy show that will have the whole town atwitter!

Master showman Harold Hill is in town and he’s got “seventy-six trombones” in tow. Can upright, uptight Marian, the town librarian, resist his powerful allure?

Book, music and lyrics by Meredith Wilson, based on a story by Meredith Wilson and Franklin Lacey.

ELTHAM College invites prospective student families, theatre aficionados and the wider community to also join us for a memorable evening!

R U OK Day reminds our students and community that by having regular, meaningful conversations, you build trust and normalise talking about what’s really going on in your life. If you find yourself struggling, know there is someone you can talk to.

Students and staff are wearing a touch of yellow and fun activities are happening all day, with age appropriate information on how to start a conversation about mental health.

People who are regularly asked R U OK? feel more supported, connected, cared about and better about themselves and their situation.

A conversation truly can change a life 💛

As part of our 50th Anniversary celebrations the Junior School put on a standout production last week - Dust to Dreams - which wonderfully highlighted the talented students and staff in our community. Congratulations to all of our students, who were magnificent and performed to a full house on Tuesday evening!

The idea for this play and music was conceived by Jess, our Drama teacher, and Nick, our Year 5 teacher, who had the vision to specially commemorate 50 years of ELTHAM College from the Junior School. Nick wrote the play, while Jess directed, choreographed, and selected music to complement the lyrics. Thank you to all staff who assisted to create the wonderful and memorable experience our students.

On Thursday, August 1, the Junior Music Soirée took place, featuring three separate concerts with 56 individual performances from our talented Prep to Year 6 students.

The concerts showcased a diverse array of musical instruments and styles. Our young performers delighted the audience with their skills on the violin, cello, piano, guitar, trumpet, drums, and vocals, covering genres from classical and tango to blues and rock.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the music tutors who worked tirelessly with these young musicians to prepare them for this special evening. Special thanks to our accompanists, Rebecca and Emma, whose support made the night even more memorable.
