This year feels as if its been flying by and when some people ask me what I've been up to…it takes me a moment to respond...because how does deep dreaming and allowing space for one’s unique soul calling to come into being, go down in most people’s minds?
What I can say in words that most will comprehend is: I have taken the time to focus on what matters most to me; health, relationships, my devotional practices and my sacred work in the world.
~I have been healing my body of mould, fungus and balancing out my gut biome and hormones, with great success and I feel healthier and more vital than ever before.
~I have recently moved interstate with my partner, which has tested our resilience, our commitment to one another and our trust in the mysterious path that continues to unfold before us.
~I have dedicated myself, without compromise, to the personal practices that support my mental, emotional and physical well being.
~New projects have been birthed, others have been put to rest.
~Deeper layers of my internal workings have been revealed and integrated, while others have been shed.
What has been a continuous thread- is my commitment to embodiment, ceremony and creating safely held spaces for communities to deepen into the web of belonging and open their senses to the animate forces that are woven through everything.
In standing at the helm of the Dancing Freedom ship, alongside my dear co-captain Caitlin Wood, we are in a continuous state of listening and moving with the currents of life. We don’t operate in a linear fashion, yet we aim to align ourselves with the natural cycles, which requires us to surrender and align more and more to an intelligence that is often times, beyond our minds.
The mind has its place in the order of things…but the deeper we travel down into and through the body and heart there is something smarter than “I”, “me” or “mine” that begins to reach for our attention. It doesn’t scream or shout in the same manner as all the ads we may see on our social media feeds, nor does it evoke in us a sense of inadequacy or brokenness.
Instead, it whispers to us on the wind, in the sound of the river, in the crackling logs of the fire or through the sound of our footsteps upon the forest floor. This force doesn’t have one name it goes by, yet it knows each of us as intimately as the river knows the banks.
It is our very nature that is reflected to us both within and without, above and below- and it is through opening our senses to an intimate dialogue with our bodies and the more than human world that we will remember who and what we truly are: whole, complete; woven in and out of love.
It is through our personal dialogue with these forces of nature both within and without, that we have been inspired to weave a collective offering to support our extended community in their own remembering. It has been a long time coming for me to feel ready and willing to weave the two parallel paths that I walk into one offering and one prayer for our community.
And we would love to invite YOU to join us, support us, cheer us on and share with anyone whom you feel would be a f**k yeah- to journey into and through the body and heart with us.

She believes that in facilitating her own evolution and that of others she is assisting with the global shift that is happening at this time. Her mission is to use the tools she has gained throughout her life to empower and remind others to embrace their body’s movements and natural intelligence as a means of experiencing life to its fullest.

Hi everyone,
As we all know, parts of Australia have suffered devastating floods. There’s been a huge community led response to the flooding, and our Northern New South Wales brothers and sisters continue to work hard together to recover the best they can.
But they need our southern lands help! It may not be our task to be mucking out houses, and cleaning up all the mess physically, but they need us! So come along to this community fundrAiser in happening this Saturday night at Summer Healing Yoga in Brunswick and promises to be a fun and supportive way to raises funds for the relief effort. I am running a ecstatic dance session at the event. There is yoga and live music and a sound healing. In sum, it’ll be rad! and all the proceeds are going to 3 campaigns and charities directly. You should absolutely come!

This new moon in Virgo- supports us to go inwards and connect to the roots that hold us to our center. These times we are in can have us feeling like we are on a giant see-saw swinging up and down, from side to side, and all around- which can feel ungrounding and de-stabilizing.
How do we continue to pull our attention and energy inwards to source from a space that is connected, whole and regenerative?
Axis Mundi, in meditation, religion or mythology, is the world center or the connection between Heaven and Earth. As the celestial pole and geographic pole, it expresses a point of connection between sky and earth where the four compass directions meet.
My prayer is for each of us to tap into this power and force that moves through each of us- so we can take our next steps with focus, presence, attention and love- for the good of all our relations.

Our Story

Co-created by these two cherished individuals, Phoenix Lydia Marolda and Richard Tronson- in their own way, are a living testimony of what it means to experience dance as a reflection of life. They live and breathe the practices they share. Harnessing the power of dance and embodiment to help them navigate in their relationship to themselves, others, their community and the earth.

Richard and Phoenix have been on a journey of relating since they met on the dance floor at the Dancing Freedom teacher facilitator training in 2010. They each have been sharing their passion for dance and embodiment around the world ever since.
They are committed to sharing the power of movement, ritual, connection to the Earth and community development for personal and collective healing and empowerment. They were the first certified Dancing Freedom facilitators in Australia and have been watching this practice grow consistently ever since they moved here in 2012.
Phoenix is the current director and lead teacher trainer for Dancing Freedom. She has a Masters degree in Education and Expressive Arts in Learning, in addition to having studied with many great teachers, healers and mentors throughout the US, South America, Asia and Australia. She has been teaching, creating curriculum and sharing embodiment practices with thousands of adults and children from around the planet for almost 15 years.
Richard is a certified Dance Movement Therapist and has also studied Art Therapy at the Phoenix Institute in addition to busily equipping himself with tools for shifting consciousness through embodiment and the re-wilding of the human spirit throughout the years. With extensive experience playing music for ritual dance journeys and a passion for seeking out tracks with a living heArtful vibration, Richard consciously selects music for the powerful and transformative ways the tracks shape time, space, energy and experience.
