Meet Lois Grant (Griffiths) as we celebrate advocacy in audiology!

Graduated with class of 1978, Lois began her journey of volunteering in Papua New Guinea (1992–1998), where she played a key role in establishing a hearing clinic within a special education resource centre. Her commitment to advancing Audiology continued through short-term visits to Malawi (2012–2019), contributing to the development of the first Audiology degree program alongside Peter and Rebecca Bartlett at ABC Hearing Clinic and Training Centre. Currently, Lois volunteers on the Board of EARS Inc, an Australian Christian not-for-profit organization dedicated to fostering sustainable hearing healthcare in low- and middle-income countries.

After graduating in 2002, Adrienne established her first of two audiology clinics in 2003. With a steadfast focus on client outcomes, it grew into Victoria’s largest independent group. She launched her second venture ten years ago, introducing an innovative business model that collaborates with independent clinics across Australia. Entrepreneurial success isn't solely paved by hard work and a commitment to excellence; it demands continuous professional development, persistence and the courage to make tough choices. Despite her dynamic role, Adrienne remains committed to her passion in a clinical role, dedicating three days a week to patient care. As she nears completion of her Post-Professional Doctor of Audiology, Adrienne hopes to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurial audiologists.
