I recently had the pleasure of meeting the owners of Australia’s latest track sprinting champion horse, making its mark overseas.

After receiving a tip that Old Paradians were the owner and breeder of King Charles III, Stakes winning mare Asfoora at Royal Ascot, I did a bit of research to discover the Parade connection. With the help of long-time horse-racing enthusiast and former staff member John Joss, Radio RSN’s own Daniel Harford (1994) and Royal Ascot regular Dale McCann (1978) we were able to discover the connection. LADIES DAY!!!

Our home game against Reservoir on 20 July 2024 will be a chance to celebrate those most important to us.

Our mums.
Our wives.
Our girlfriends.
And every other woman in our lives.

You let us disappear every Saturday to chase around a ball.

You listen to us complain all week about our injuries, minor or otherwise.

And suffer having a stinky pair of boots sitting at the front door and muddy jumpers in the trough.

Enjoy a 2 course lunch and drink on arrival, silent disco and raffles and prizes throughout the day.

Music by Ben Hales.

Tickets $75 at WWW.OPFC.COM.AU

His outstanding service to the College, the Old Paradians’ Association, and the Old Paradians’ Football Club has been recognised throughout his life. A distinguished Old Paradian, Frank was the first Tenete Award recipient, which was the highest honour given to an Old Paradian for services to the College and the Old Paradians’ Association at that time. We look forward to celebrating this honour with Frank’s proud family at the OPA Hall of Fame Dinner to be held on 11th October 2024.

During the June OPA Monthly Luncheon, we recognised the service and contributions of all OPA Presidents since 1914. We acknowledged the contributions of Past Presidents Peter Johnston (1973), Barrie Williams (1953), Bruce Mansfield (1973), and Paul Shannon (1985), as well as our current President, Angelo Mazzone (1982). Unfortunately, our oldest Old Paradian President, Lance Phillips (1945), was unable to attend. It was a great honour to show gratitude to these six living past Presidents and those who served before them.
