Please be mindful that the current environment is hostile; infections in the local community are still very high, and this does mean risk to exposure with anything outside your home. I am doing my best to keep you safe from exposure to risk.

(Please note that Gabby is not taking new patients at this time unless referred by a GP for treatment of a myotherapy pathology. No general non-specific treatment is currently available due to covid restrictions limiting availability)

Happy New Year! I'm booked in for a vaccine booster on the 14th, look forward to seeing you after that date. Enjoy your holidays ~ Gabby
Appointments for fully vaccinated patients available soon
(QR check-in and evidence of vaccination status required)
Myotherapy and remedial massage appointments for existing fully vaccinated patients will be restarting from Wednesday 3rd November.
I am still limited to existing patients only, no appointments will be taken for new enquiries at this time.
Appointments for those not yet fully vaccinated are still NOT permitted until the Victorian Government advises, according to "Victoria's Roadmap to Re-Opening".
It will take some time to reschedule the people already in my waiting list to find suitable times. I am also mindful - after such a long break from work - that my body will take a while to get back into condition, so I will need to cap appointments so I don't break.
Once I have caught up, I will be able to release available times for people to request a booking.
I apologise to all that are desperate to see me, and will notify you as soon as circumstances change. ~Gabby
Many people are waiting for a return of myotherapy services. Under Victoria's roadmap to recovery, (https://www.coronavirus.vic.gov.au/victorias-roadmap) myotherapy services for fully vaccinated people are permitted to resume when we reach the 70% double-vaccinated target. We are on schedule to reach this at the end of October (see https://covidlive.com.au/vic)
I have a number of people I need to reschedule that have been desperate for treatment, so I will be contacting them in a few weeks when we have some clarity and confidence that lockdown will ease as outlined. This is my first priority.
I am anticipating being able to offer appointment availability again from Monday 8th November. (At this stage - under the roadmap - services will be restricted to fully-vaccinated or recognised medical exemptions underwritten by your GP.) I look forward to seeing you again soon!
44,251 Coronavirus Cases and 14,368 Active in Victoria - COVID Live Live tracking of coronavirus cases, active, tests, deaths, ICU, hospitalisations and vaccinations in Victoria
All appointments are still unavailable due to lockdown
Please note that myotherapy and remedial massage are not permitted under the current pandemic restrictions.
The indications are that services will be permitted - for double-vaccinated patients - again when the Victorian Government re-opens businesses in response to targets outlined in "Victoria's Roadmap to Re-Opening".
I apologise to all that are desperate to see me, and will notify you as soon as circumstances change. ~Gabby
What is Myotherapy?
Myotherapy is a form of physical therapy which aims to identify the underlying cause of a musculoskeletal pathology (injury, movement restriction or source of pain and discomfort).
By assessing and evaluating the muscles and the tendons attaching them to bones and through examining movement patterns, a myotherapist is able to improve range of motion, reduce pain and discomfort caused by muscular or joint restrictions, and assist with improved mobility.
Using physical techniques including myofascial therapy, trigger point therapy, deep and superficial muscle massage techniques, muscle loading, cupping, dry needling and gentle joint mobilising techniques, a myotherapist will reduce the impact of these injuries and conditions affecting movement.
Exercise rehabilitation will assist with improving condition and performance of the body's ability to move easier with reduced pain and restriction.
Compared to general, non-specific remedial massage treatments, myotherapy aims to provide more lasting results.
