Just like you, there are more than 15,000 umpires in community football nationwide – across the three disciplines of field, boundary and goal – and more are needed to cater for the game’s growth. Without umpires there is no game. Too often, umpires are subjected to abuse on the field and from the other side of the fence.
The AFL stands with you and all umpires, so please remember if you see it, call it, so together we can change it.

💚Female Umpire Appreciation💚
The VAFA, in conjunction with the VAFAUA, on Sunday were fortunate enough to be able to appoint two panels of female umpires to a William Buck Premier Women's Senior and Reserves match. This was a great opportunity to highlight the outstanding work and commitment of our female umpires. It was also the first time our female umpires got the chance to work together as a team.
