Mt.Beauty Primary School, up in the snow region!
Our team has been fortunate through our ongoing partnership with AGL to be delivering programs in catchment areas and communities associated with AGL.
This week our team made the trek to Mt.Beauty to deliver Phase 1 & 2 to the students of our Social Emotional Learning Program and followed it up with Parenting & Educator Information Sessions.
These students were absolute champions who brought the energy, engagement and laughter. It was also a highlight to see just how engaged the educators were, on the floor, playing the games and joining in on all the fun. INCREDIBLE!!
We loved being here and look forward to working with the school and community over the next 12 months!!
Thanks Mt.Beauty!!
On 17th August, Mick flew up to Cairns to deliver a keynote presentation on mental health to business owners at the Irrigear Stores Limited conference.
The session topic was “from mind full to mindful”, with a focus on self care, personal wellbeing, how to have the difficult conversations and how to approach the uncomfortable topic of su***de in our workplace and community.
“Not only was it fantastic to see the level of commitment to conversation in the room, it was also heartwarming to see the level of vulnerability and support from the group. You can definitely tell that this is an organisation that cares about their staff, the topic of mental health and looking after themselves”. - Mick
Speaking on a Saturday is worth it when you get to work with a company like Irrigear and we are grateful to collaborate with workforces who prioritise mental health.
Thanks Irrigear!

Collaboration is key and we love working alongside those implementing proactive ways to create change.
Thanks to the amazing work of Brad Battin’s office we have been able to work together to deliver sessions related to topics students want to learn about and challenges that they currently face.
That’s the beauty of our engagements, our speaking platform is all tailored to suit and built to outcomes.
Isabelle delivered a session based around Social Media, it’s impact on oneself, others, comparisons it can create and finding ways to be your true authentic self.
A great day and session. Thanks Brad and your office for your continual support.

A trip over and evening with the South Adelaide FC in the SANFL.
There can often be a lot of pressure of playing at the elite levels of sport and navigating balance of our mental health while juggling life alongside it.
We feel very fortunate to play a small role in delivering education around our mental health continuum and opening up new avenues to ‘stepping in’ to our vulnerability and talking about the tough stuff!
‘Matt held a deeply insightful presentation that allowed you to connect emotionally with those around you. It opened up many new ideas around mental health and some useful strategies which I can use in the future. Importantly it reminded me the importance of ensuring that we continue to develop our own mental health and support loved ones with their own mental health journey.’
‘I found Matts delivery of the presentaion was refreshing, real and emotional which helped everyone connect. It helped me reflect on my life and showed me ways to be a glass half full not half empty person’
A great club, incredibly respectful, engaged and supportive of the mental health conversation.
Thanks Brent, Jarrad & the entire club for allowing us the opportunity, we look forward to continuing to support South Adelaide and their wider community.

Delivered in an interactive, fun and engaging way that allows the students to lead the interactions.
Thank you to St Kieran's Primary staff and students who are prioritising this learning in the SEL space.

You wake up on a friday with a different bounce in your step after spending the night with this club.
We love working alongside and supporting Longwarry Football Netball Club , great people, great energy and a huge show of vulnerability - taking steps inward, in an uncomfortable and sometimes daunting topic of emotional wellbeing.

Last night was all about people, perspective, power, resilience and self care as our facilitators Kat and Mick shared the story telling space at Rosedale FNC.
Ahead of a very important mental health round this week in the NGFNL, it was extremely rewarding and uplifting to see so many netballers and footballers attend the education sessions at the club.
It is incredible to work with clubs that want to create a safe environment for conversation, where they feel supported to talk about their feelings and get help if and when they need it.
All the best on the weekend Rosedale!!

The North Gippsland Football Netball League (NGFNL) is proud to be partnering with AGL Loy Yang
and MindfullAus for the upcoming Mental Health Round, aimed at raising awareness and fostering
positive mental health within the Gippsland community.
The AGL MindfullAus Mental Health Round, Saturday 3 August, will see all clubs unite under the
theme of mental health awareness. Su***de is the leading cause of death among people aged 15–44
years and is something that has touched several clubs in the league. This dedicated round seeks to
create a supportive environment where players, coaches, officials, and spectators feel empowered to
discuss mental health openly and access the resources they need.
Martha Truin, North Gippsland Football Netball League President - “We are proud to partner with AGL Loy Yang and MindfullAus for our first ever Mental Health Round. Supporting mental health is vital our league, as we understand many struggle with mental health across all our clubs. Through this
initiative, we hope to break down the stigma and encourage open conversations about mental health.’
The AGL MindfullAus Mental Health Round promises to be an impactful event, promoting a message
of supporting further education and understanding of mental health within our community. We encourage the local community to join us in this important cause and help make a difference in the lives of those
affected by mental health challenges.
This season, AGL Loy Yang have supported MindfullAus to deliver mental health training sessions to all 11 clubs in the league , both a junior and senior session, as well as training two representatives from each club in Mental Health First Aid.
Mindfull Aus founder Matt Runnalls - ‘It is our wish to continue to build sustainable environments that wrap their arms around people’s wellness and are equipped to do so”.

Incredibly proud of Pete, his first ever speaking engagement sharing his story in front of Tarwin Football & Netball Club last night and was incredible.
Pete’s story works on the premise of KEEP. A re-frame of how everyone always tells us to ‘keep going’ , ‘keep positive’, ‘keep fighting’ etc and how Pete chooses to look at KEEP now that drives his mental health in the direction that allows him to navigate life’s inevitable situations.
K- Kindness for self
E- Empathy for others
E- Emotional Intelligence - education is key.
P- Purpose, with values and goals.
We’re really proud of Pete and know that these outcomes will help others to navigate challenges in a similar way.
Congrats Pete.
From 3 months ago sitting in the Listening Heart speaking retreat, to now out impacting lives. It’s inspirational to watch and the work you have put in to educate yourself and be best prepared is what will make a huge difference.

Respectful, engaged and supportive.
All the important aspects of a club who "gets it".
Just because no one else can do the inner work for us, or heal us - doesn't mean we can't provide environments where people support us, encourage us and hold space for us to not feel alone in it.
Yarram Football Netball Club provided a fine example of a club who made each other not feel alone in it.
Armed with a new set of skills, tools and insights - ready to open the dialogue and hold space for others and importantly -themselves.
Thanks for having us Yarram, we hope you go well on the weekend and continue to look after each other well into the back end of the season.
Go Demons!

It's a national day of action which aims to prevent su***de by encouraging Australians to connect with someone they care about and help stop little problems turning into big ones.
On that day we want everyone across the country from all backgrounds and walks of life to engage in meaningful discussions.
Staying connected with others is crucial to our general health and wellbeing. Feeling isolated or hopeless can contribute to depression and other mental illnesses which can ultimately result in su***de. Regular meaningful conversations can protect those we know and love and at Mindfull Aus - we're all about opening these conversations in relatable and fun ways.
It's so simple.
Why not grab your organisation and workplace and engage in a Mindfull Aus educational session this year - to help bring vulnerability and meaningful dialogue to the forefront.
Let us help you to kick it off.
