A massive congratulations to everyone who’s received a new job offer this year. I know that starting a new job can be both exciting & overwhelming. So, to help you switch off and feel a sense of calm, I’m pleased to share that Getting Ahead Australia has teamed up with .blackman.yoga, to offer you a Stress Relief Pack with 2 gentle and supportive restorative yoga online sessions.
If you can make 1-hour for yourself, you'll find that each session will slow your breathing, reduce your blood pressure and allow you to feel a greater sense of calm and well-being. Enjoy!

Did you know we’re working with 15trees to plant trees around Australia? Every time one of our clients gets a new job offer, another tree is planted.
Thanks for helping us make this happen😊 Photo by Matthew Montrone🌳
Everyone knows that starting a new job can be overwhelming. This is even more true nowadays when not everyone’s spending as much time together onsite anymore.
That's why we're offering you our FREE weekly reflection journal. The idea is that you can take time once a week to reflect on your week, think about what’s been going well for you, what challenges you’re facing and what questions you’ve got. If you write some brief notes, it can help you feel more organised in the week ahead. recibe

Our clients have recently been made job offers that don’t make them feel 100% excited about jumping out of bed every day. But, when they’ve asked the employer to consider different working arrangements, a higher salary or even fewer days work per week to meet their personal circumstances they’ve been successful in achieving what they want. Don’t be afraid to ask, you’ve got nothing to lose and lots to gain!

What’s your game plan to achieve your career goals?
Tip 6: To achieve any goal in life you need to start with a plan!
Start by setting yourself some realistic timeframes, make sure you have the tools you need to be successful and think clearly about what additional support you need.
Perhaps receiving a free CV review or participating in a practice professional interview with feedback on your performance will benefit you. Why not get started today?
What's your game plan to stay positive during your job search?
Tip 5: Each time you apply for a job, you need to be mentally prepared to get no response or be rejected, even when you meet all of the requirements.
Try not to take it personally - often companies are not sure what they're looking for or what skills they require. Stay strong!
What's your game plan to succeed in Interviews?
Tip 4: If you find interviews stressful, get well-prepared by learning how to use techniques such as visualisation. Do some breathing exercises or practice mindfulness before an interview to help you relax.
When you ground your feet into the floor, sit up straight and open your chest your breathing will slow down and you will feel more in control and relaxed.
