Rainbow Labor WA branch members have endorsed a campaign for Regional Sexual Health Clinics to be funded in WA ✊🌈
Our experiences chatting to regional branch members, party members and the broader regional q***r community speaks to a significant lack of s*xual healthcare services in all non-metro areas.
That's just not right. So, we are doing something about it.
For the next few months, we will be taking this discussion paper to regional, q***r community groups for their feedback and endorsement.

Feeling like you are working harder but being paid less? It's true.
We've gotta get wages moving, We need strong unions to make that happen.
Lot's of ways to volunteer for YES 🖤💛❤
With the Voice campaign well and truly underway, it is important that WA Young Labor do their part in supporting the Yes movement, as well as provide opportunities for members to engage with their local campaigns.
Each week, WA Young Labor will send out an email and make a post here on Facebook about upcoming campaigning opportunities for WA Young Labor members.
We strongly encourage that members engage with their local Voice campaign to show their support and help us secure a Yes vote in WA. All campaigning will be done in groups or pairs, making it a great way for newer members to get involved with campaigning in a safe and fun way!

They're here! They're q***r! They're unionising! 💅
It Pays to be Union! 💛🧡💙 Congrats to AMWU Australian Manufacturing Workers' Union WA and ETU WA Branch
AMWU members stand strong, play smart, and win 💪
A quick history: AMWU and ETU members at Bluewaters Power Station had to withstand dodgy wedge tactics where the company pitted workers against each other by offering different and unfair wage rates.
The Unions eventually settled on a compromise position and an agreement was voted up. The AMWU reviewed the steps the company supposedly took to explain the deal before it went to ballot.
Surprise, surprise the company hadn't done their work properly and the AMWU filed an application against the agreement that went to hearing in the Fair Work Commission. Last week the decision was handed down.
The effect of the decision is that all negative changes the company tried to sneak through have been reversed. These include restoring a strong dispute resolution clause, winning an additional two days personal leave, and an extra 2% wage increase on top of what was already voted up in the proposal!
The agreement will now come into operation with wage increases back paid to when the agreement was voted up
Great work to the members who held the line, fought back, and allowed their Union to run a successful legal challenge against dodgy tactics of the Company.
It pays to be Union.
14 July is International Non-Binary Peoples Day! We celebrate those who are non-binary, the rich diversity of gender and celebrate people who do not fit into a binary gender.
In really simple terms, a non-binary person is someone who does not identify as exclusively a man or a woman. Someone who is non-binary might feel like a mix of genders, or like they have no gender at all.
Using correct pronouns is important. Many non-binary people prefer the pronouns they/them/their.
Find out more about non-binary pronouns in the comments!

“Where there is knowledge there are our Elders. Our Elders paved the pathways for us, taught us our knowledge, our history, they passed down their art, stories and wisdom. Our Elders are the foundation of our communities and role models for our children. With this poster I wanted to showcase how important our Elders are in passing down traditions and culture to our children and future.” Bobbi Lockyer 2023.
