This week we had the pleasure of a visit from our local Federal Member Kate Chaney MP . Kate helped us receive a Federal Government Volunteers Grant of $3500 which we have spent the bulk of on much needed equipment for our Vollies.

School holiday Day Camps are underway! Booked out this week and limited places available next week.

Some of the bigger kids from today’s SJ at Perth H & PC. Emma and Tex won both their dressage and jumping events! Thanks to all our helpers today.

A day of firsts for both some of our homegrown CTRC Pony Club members and some of our new horses having an outing at Perth Horse & PC Dressage and Showjumping day today. Beautiful weather for it and a great learning day for all.

What a pearler this Off the Track WA sponsored horse is! His stable name is “The Rock” aka Sedimentary and that’s exactly what he is like even with the most challenging clients. Our client pictured often also carries a fresh twig off a tree with leaves on it as well and swings it around as much as he does his legs and arms and “The Rock” takes no notice and just gets on with his job.

Reminder to all our followers that we are a drop off location for the Containers For Change scheme. It’s a great way to support our centre. Next time you come for a visit just bring a bag with your eligible bottles and place in our green bin at our front gate OR you can place your bag marked with our code C10241595 in the black bulk bin adjacent to our car park. 😊

Big thanks to our intrepid volunteer and all round great person Laureen Lindsay on sponsoring our Opi.
Opi is a 6yo palomino quarter horse cross that is making his w ay very quickley through our training program and we are already seeing him in some of the advanced classes, so hopefully he will be in the children's and therapeutic classes very soon as well. Laureen was first drawn to his colour and has now fallen for his kind temperament as well.

Position Available - Part-Time Traineeship

Here at CTRC we are looking for a Part-time stablehand that is also interested in training to become a riding instructor.
Candidates must have relevant riding skills and experience and possess positive interpersonal skills. Must be willing to undertake formal certification training which will be subsidised by CTRC.
Candidate will be involved in general stable duties, horse care and preparation for lessons, will assist in group lessons and client liaison.
Hours are flexible Monday to Friday. We are looking for a candidate with potential to grow into a full time position in our team.

Today we received this lovely message from one of our parents - just the thing to motivate us all before we begin Term 1.

"Sammy’s would love to continue her Thursday riding timetable.
It is an incredible program Sammy loves horses and really loves interacting with them. Riding is great for her fitness and skills. She loves the social interaction and support she receives at the riding centre. It is a wonderful program and we are really grateful she is able to continue her long association with CTRC

CTRC Position Available:
We are looking for a Part-time Instructor to join the team here at CTRC.
Must have current relevant qualifications or in the process of gaining such. Happy to provide mentoring for the right candidiate.
Flexible hours between Monday to Friday and will be working with small groups of both able and special needs clients in a team environment with our wonderful volunteers. Some stable duties and horse preparation is also involved.
