AKC Rd4 for 2024 has been run and won in beautiful Coffs Harbour and thanks to organisers and all the Officials it was an enjoyable event.
When asked about his thoughts, TWM Team Boss Tom Williamson offered his view from a TWM perspective;
“It was a great weekend results wise but ‘What could have been?’ comes to mind… we missed converting and finishing off the job in 3 classes. The speed potential for more wins and podiums is there, we just need to finish-off the job.
“All team members worked well, supported each other well and that made for a great team atmosphere and team moral.
“We will go back to the drawing board and improve for the next event.”

Over the weekend our Junior squad had their first event for 2024, with Junior Top Guns at Oakleigh in Melbourne. This is a two part event, with qualifying, 2 heats during the day and a final each night under lights. Points all add up for an overall event winner in each class.
Mixed conditions kept us on our toes during the day on Friday for practice and qualifying before fining up as racing continued into the night. The technical and undulated layout is a challenge for drivers, but we had some great results across the two days highlighted by the podium results below:
Young Olly Williamson snagged Pole and the Final win on Friday in Cadet 9 which set him up for 2nd overall on Saturday night.
In Cadet 12 C&D Braxton Regal finished 2nd Friday night & 3rd Saturday night.
Will Boniface finished his weekend on a high with 2nd in the final Saturday night for KA3 Jr Light C&D. Ash Parker running in KA3 Jr Heavy C&D also found the podium Saturday night in 3rd.
In the elite junior class, KA2, Sam March wound up 3rd overall for the weekend capitalising on a consistent weekend of results.
Regardless of if they went home with a trophy or not, all of our junior squad gained excellent experience on a technical circuit in varying conditions. A great way to kickstart a big 2024 for TWM.
Nearly missed it! But better late than never…
Have been saving this photo for the boss man’s special day.
Happy Birthday to Tom! Thanks for all the hard work, passion and dedication that you pour into each and every one of our driver’s careers. From the early morning track walks to the late night data reviews, your passion for this sport is a huge motivation for everyone that dons the TWM branding.

Proud to accept the 2023 Australian Kart Championship 'Manufacturer of the Year' on behalf of Kart Republic Australia & NZ on Sunday night. This wouldn't have been possible with the fantastic support of our dealers and partner teams and of course the drivers that put their faith and trust in the KR brand. And with FA Alonso Kart Australia and New Zealand coming in 2nd place this year, we couldn't be prouder.
Thank you.

Great result for our lads in TransAm! Four big races to come at Queensland Raceway.
Bang! Front row lockout for with snagging Pole and .cleary only .08 behind! Perfect way to start our weekend with 4 races ahead of us.
Well that was a big weekend! Round 4 of the 2023 Australian Kart Championship has been run and won at Ipswich Kart Club.
Will have a proper race report tomorrow, but it's safe to say it was a solid weekend with plenty of extra baggage on the way home!
#1 KA3 Jnr James Anagnostiadis
KA3 Junior winner, James Anagnostiadis !!! Congratulations James! Great job
Solid weekend for the FA Alonso Kart Australia and New Zealand family in Townsville!
Let’s carry that success through to next weekend as we head to Ipswich for AKC!
WELCOME ELLY!!!
After 10 years of building TWM alongside Tom,
Darren and Zoey will be taking a step back from day to day work in karting. We are so lucky to be welcoming Elly Morrow who has been part of the TWM family for a long time. Elly will become the brains and organisation behind Tom and Cody's work at the track and in the workshop. Elly has been helping us out for a while now but her role will become official at Ipswich AKC. You will still see Zoey and Darren hanging around the track as Kart Mum and Papa so make sure you say hi 😀
Over the weekend the TWM crew rolled into IPSWICH KART CLUB for the AKC shakedown event. With only a few weeks to go before we compete at round 4 of the Australian Kart Championship it was a great opportunity for our drivers to get some laps around the Queensland circuit. Highlights for the team are below:
Jac Preston made a perfect return to KZ2 with a win in the final followed closely by teammate Leon Cordato, both aboard Kart Republic karts.
In X30 we were set for a great final, with multiple drivers in the front rows of the starting grid. However a turn one incident sent 3 out of the 4 TWM drivers from the front back to stone dead last. Elliott Cleary, also on return to karting, snagged 3rd while Kurtis Tennant and Jack Webster both battled their way through the big field to regain top ten finishes. Both were the fastest on track, with Webster bringing home the fastest lap of the race.
All in all, it was a weekend of learning for the whole team and we now look forward to returning to IKC for the main event in a few weeks time.

Round 3 of the 2023 Australian Kart Championship is complete and it was a great result for the TWM and Kart Republic Australia & NZ team! Harri Mitchell lead home a 1-2 with Jack Webster hot on his heels in X30. A dominant lead for Mitchell, while Webster worked his way up the order from a mid pack start to cross the line second. In Tag 125 Zac Heard lead from start to finish in a shortened final. James Anagnostiadis drove his Kart Republic kart to 2nd in KA3 Junior.
A great way to finish off the weekend with 4 trophies in the hands of Kart Republic drivers.
Patiently waiting for the weekend…it’s race week! Almost time for Round 3 of the Australian Kart Championship in Newcastle.
