We each have goodness inside us, how are you sharing the good that you are through kindness today?
First load of food has been delivered to the Brantford Food Bank from The Kindness Project micro food drive!
Captain Kindness has a few ideas and ways to engage with Kindness in Brantford (and beyond).
1. Find ways to be creatively (and safely) kind. We'd love to see them and share them! Shoot us a message or post them and we'll share the kind around!
2. Get involved in The Kindness Project's Food Drive. You'll see 5 locations on this video where you can drop off food for Brantford Food Bank
3. If your kids at home would like a personalized video from Captain Kindness (or you as a parent) as a reminder to be kind during this strange times... send us a message on Facebook and he'll make you a video!
There are so many Kindness Superheroes at work in our city during this COVID-19 crisis. Our medical staff and front-line workers, our neighbours helping us with our grocery shopping, our teachers helping give parents home schooling tips, our friends giving food to the Food Bank - the list goes on... Why don't you tag the kindness superheroes in your life and say THANK YOU!
Here's something kind and fun to do... while meeting a growing need in our community. We're launching a micro, neighborhood-focused, Food Drive! So here's how it goes:
1. Message us/me and we'll email you flyer that you drop in your neighbour's mailbox (don't knock... safe distance... just drop)
2. Your neighbours drop food (at a safe distance) at one of the 5 homes listed throughout Brantford (no knocking... just dropping).
3. A Freedom House / The Kindness Project rep will bring the bins to The Brantford Food Bank.
It's a great and easy way to engage our neighbourhoods in meeting needs while getting some fresh air!
Giveaway day at The Kindness Centre. Young Blake showed up... and his eyes lit up seeing the blinking bulbs our volunteers were wearing. So we gave him one and HE lit up. Kindness is awesome because it’s that little extra “balloon factor” stuff that brings delight and wonder.
The cupboards are filled-up to give-out today. Our team works hard to make food go far. Thanks team ... and thanks to God. As one of our team prayed with thankfulness today, “It amazes me that you care about the cost of tuna.”
