Margot’s Place is a non-profit organization providing support services to young moms in Brantford.
Margot’s Place recognizes that many young women in the Brantford-Brant community experience significant challenges during their pregnancy and parenting journey. We believe it is vital for young parents to receive support from other parents and to feel connected to their community. We strive to create an inclusive and safe space where young moms can:

Are you a new mom of a little one under 6 months? Or expecting your first? The Brant County Health Unit is offering the Prenatal and Postnatal Program at Margot's Place every Wednesday, to moms aged 25 and younger! Postnatal is offered from 3:45pm-4:15pm and Prenatal is offered from 4:45pm-5:30pm. GREAT INCENTIVES AVAILABLE EACH WEEK FOR THOSE WHO ATTEND AND PARTICIPATE: $30 in grocery gift cards, bus passes and grocery items to go! For further info. visit:

Young moms who are enrolled in school or are seeking employment, are welcome to join us for HOMEROOM!
Every Thursday afternoon we provide childminding and a quiet environment, so that you can focus on your school work or resume. A teacher will be onsite once a month to support students completing their Ontario Secondary School Diploma.

Splash in for a Halloween-themed swim on Saturday, October 26 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre. There will be spooky Halloween music and a chance to jump in and pick your very own pumpkin to decorate later. 🎃 🎶 There is a limit of one pumpkin per person, while supplies last. This swim will take place in the 65-metre pool and Warm Water Pool. Free for Facility and Pool Members or regular swim admission rates will apply. Public Swim Admission Requirements will apply. 💦 👻
Attendees of the Pumpkin Plunge can participate in extra 'fang'-tastic fun activities from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the 2nd floor Activity Room. Paint your pumpkin, play co****le and giant Jenga games and have your face painted. Splash our polar bear will be available to take photos with guests between 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

This unique support program is facilitated by Jane Flinders, a Registered Early Childhood Educator with 30+ years of experience working with moms and babies.

How did we get started?
For the past few years, a small group of amazing young moms from the Brantford community formed a project called Parker’s Project. They met with over 150 local young moms to find out the answer to one essential question: What do you need to feel better supported as a parent? Margot’s Place was then created in response to the following identified challenges and needs:
