I'm back!!! Truth is, I was a bit lost. I was finding it difficult to bring positivity or anything of value to this page. I was angry, frustrated and burnt the hell out from driving around this country💆🏽‍♀️

Social media makes it difficult to be yourself.
People want authenticity, but everything perfected
They want honest talk, but you can't be too open

People can be complicated if you are requiring permission. But we're not suppose to waiting until it's ok with others to show sides of failure, doubt or even stress.

I'm not saying bare it all but truth is, this last 2 years has effected EVERYONE! Yes in different ways but that is entirely up to is, after the storm happened. So we may need some time to gain our footing, rethink old goals or solidify new ones.

I went back to survivor mode, went quiet, removed some people that weren't good for me and opened my eyes to who some really are. It was painful and freeing at the same time.

Tonight I made it to the gym.... Not the first time since coming to the US but the first time that my mind was there, and I worked hard and I have a firm goal for the first time in a over a year!!

If you haven't found your way yet with this new normal, be patient with yourself, be kind and at the same time require more from yourself. Everybody is focused on their own s**t... You need to fight for you cause at the end of the day, the effort you put in is all that matters 🙏🏽

What would your life look like if you actually did them? Real action! Too many people are sitting around saying "I wish", "they're lucky", "if only". Acting as if they're waiting for something magical to happen... But isn't that the truth? The spoiled mind waiting for something or someone else? Waiting for the perfect moment, temperature, icing on their cake. I wasted many years in that place waiting for a moment that was less crazy, it still hasn't come but I've learned to keep moving.

Nobody is responsible for our lives, in ANY way. What we think, do, feel and think is ALL YOU! So imagine if we just did ALL. THE. THINGS!!

Today is a day of thanks & gratitude
I am grateful for the new people in my life, my family, our health, my ability to live and move freely, to have woke this morning with purpose in my heart. I am learning every day to appreciate the truly simple things that life can give.

Shopping, material items, careers, roles, status, partners.. there is not one thing that will ever fill a void that you have earned yourself. Did you read that?

There was never any worse voice then the voice of let down, from ourselves. When we make promises to ourselves and dont keep them, when we voice what we want in life and yet allow distraction, when we define what are dreams are and don't chase them. Those are the moments that put a stamp in our minds and hold us back from everything we want. It's us... Not one other person, so don't get distracted
Defeat comes to mind and confidence can't live there. Whether you are looking at making a life change, career change or making yourself unstoppable... What you tell yourself will ALWAYS be the most important and influential voice

The prettiest parts to New Orleans

While I sit every morning having my coffee, looking at Palm trees with the sun on my face...I think of the sacrifice so many made to enjoy this simple freedom. I do not regret my decision to leave Canada..I saw what was happening there while most were asleep, and sadly still are. Freedom is earned, not given and while I have now traveled through 11 states and talked with many people.... It is something that they will NEVER relinquish, and I respect that.

But it doesn't come without a price for me - today is my grandsons birthday and I'm not there. For the first time one of my girls had a medical procedure and I wasn't the one to pick her up. I haven't quite found my groove with training, I feel my body getting weaker and my mind filled with ambition. As I move place to place, discovery parts of the US I've always wanted to see, there is so much in my rear view mirror.

The people here LOVE their freedom, do not take it for granted and will stand strong and brave against anyone or anything... I don't take that for granted, that is why I am here. That reputation of Canada being so kind is the very thing that is allowing them to be taken over, controlled and lead by a dictator, all while many are believing the lies and it hurts. While I have thought many times about going back to resurrect Rebelle Fit - I am finding it less and less possible under the current government. That is a sacrifice I was hoping to never have to make - I miss those walls and people but excited for what is next.

The truth is my life required me to make other things a priority- where exercise was for so long. Some would say people that exercise regularly are obsessed... But actually, I'm obsessed with feeling f**king good

I remember times when I thought going to the gym occasionally was good enough, a class a couple times a week, throwing some extra chicken on my plate with salad meant I was eating "healthy" and looking in the mirror... Well I didn't look "too bad" for having 5 kids and being in my 40's

That was the biggest lie I tried to convince myself. It was lazy. It was irresponsible and it was not enough for me

I have never been satisfied with just being small & skinny, not being overweight was never my goal.... I wanted to be f**king strong - in mind, emotion & body

My past regime taught me real strength, discipline, to have trust in myself, gratitude for my health and my body and a sense of accomplishment. It isn't about the appearance first, it is about the confidence that emerges when you haven't been controlled by your emotions. When your feelings don't dictate your life and you do what's necessary for the long term - that is strength, that is what I miss & that is what I'm aiming for.

Stretching, or should I say the lack of, is the 2nd thing I can say makes me feel 'old'. I haven't been doing s**t and I feel it!!! The first is not lifting weights!

Between these 2, all the proper nutrition, supplements and vitamins won't mean a thing. Yes they all work together and are ALL needed but it's like putting the cart before the horse. Our bodies really don't start breaking down until we quit using them. You ever notice with an injury, break or sprain? It doesn't really matter how well you eat, that limb is still going to be weak and when we are weak, we are more susceptible to injury. The simplest way to put it - you don't use it, you lose it

It doesn't mean go to a yoga class and you're good - it means push your body hard, use weight, resistance, get the heart rate up, induce maximum blood flow in those muscles to induce growth and sweat...... Then go do some yoga or stretching.

Our bodies are multifaceted and we need them to do all sorts of things... Exercise is not linear.

I definitely promote natural ways of boosting energy for a workout so creating my own pre workout has been a must!

Watermelon is a great, natural option, for a preworkout, mind you it will take about 3 cups of fresh watermelon juice to give you between 200–300 milligrams of citrulline. Why is Citrulline important and what is it? Firstly, its a NON- essential amino acid, which means your body produces it on its own, maybe just not enough. We’ve all heard of BCAA’s (branch chain amino acids) in the fitness world, well this is another amino acid that proves to have many health benefits even outside of the gym. It’s been known to reduce stomach cramping, decrease muscle soreness, lower blood pressure and stimulate muscle recovery.

A key role of citrulline is to aid the body in excreting a toxic by-product called ammonia which is known to significantly impair exercise performance.

Citrulline helps with exercise performance as it can also be readily converted in the body to another amino acid called arginine. which has the ability to increase blood flow through muscles. Citrulline, is converted into arginine in your body and both of these amino acids aid in nitric oxide production. Nitric oxide causes the tiny muscles around your blood vessels to relax and dilate allowing more blood flow to your muscles. More blood flow = muscle pump = faster results

Watermelon = Citrulline ➡️Arginine➡️Nitric Oxide➡️Increased Blood Flow

Today is a hard day! While I am excited to move forward in this next chapter of the Rhonda stories🤣, I am sad for what was given up. Rick and I put our heart into Rebelle Fit, not to mention literal blood, sweat and tears, while he also ran his own company. That is what starting a business is about... Many days are not fun, you question everything, you're scared as f**k that people won't come or appreciate your passion, but you keep going anyway. Then the doors opened and it was even better then I anticipated!!!!
But the universe had other plans, plans that would ultimately make me choose, thought and sense over feeling. Closing the doors was one of the hardest things I have ever done but then packing everything up into storage was even harder.
Moving to the US was always a desire but not planned to happen so quickly. So here I am, just wanting a little Rebelle Fit here in Florida... Or maybe Texas, Arizona🤔 I haven't laid roots down anywhere yet but that gym is in my blood and I want it back!!!!

I'm not done sharing my passion and can't wait to get others moving again!!!

Looking forward to what's in the future for Rebelle Fit - for now, online is where it's at and I thank all of you who continue to keep me on through your journey🙏🏽

This picture may scare some of you, turn you off or even make some role their eyes...
But the first time I saw this, it resonated with me on such a deep level, I look at it daily
Becoming a mother was the single most life changing event of my life (X's 5) but being a parent/ a protector, fulfilling that role with every ounce of blood , every tear and sacrifice that I could muster IS what made me a fighter and a survivor

I was asked a couple days ago if what I went through as a child/ teen was what made me strong or if I was born that way..... I pondered that question but here's my answer

I think we ALL have it in us. Life can break us down, bury that strength and become unseen, making us forget we have it. If we are clear in our minds... It can be awoken. If you are focused, it can be awoken. You have to block out the noise. Go deep within yourself.... Strength will awaken
BUT..
If you are

Distracted
Drunk
High
Misaligned
Sick
Unhealthy
Needy
Vanity stricken
Materialistic
Self absorbed
Dramatic
Or have a need to be needed....

You will never awaken
We can not be brave for others when we are unable to be brave for ourselves.
Require more
Stop the fear
Change the emotion
And be the divine, courageous, brave, mamabear, lioness, wolf that you are meant to be - strength comes from the mind. Not a barbell, not a job title, not by being a girl boss or big load of money.....

Strength is defined by the limits you either have or don't have - what you will do or not do to protect your peace and the ones you love and vowed to protect🐺

If you want to change your life, you have to change your mindset.

You have to keep coming back to continue the work. You can't quit. You can't allow distractions to change your direction. Know where you are going, clear the noise, focus and keep moving forward.

Ignite that mindset of strength and discipline. Take those tough moments and use them to fuel your fire. The challenges will always be there - face them head on. But always remember the phase of building. Don't be across to go back from time to time. It's the mindset to continue to push both mentally and physically - to reach new heights

I've been chatting with clients during our sessions alot more lately and really coming to the conclusion that our voices need to be heard

We are all looking/ wanting to be heard. There's always that elephant in the room....
Whether we try to ignore it, get on with our day and focus on positivity, the fact is our lives have been flipped upside down

We NEED to talk about it!!!!

Everyone's so afraid of being attacked, being judged or causing confrontation, that there's just quiet resentment and bitterness

THAT IS NOT HEALTHY!

So as a HEALTH coach, pretending this isn't an issue is not helping anyone

There are some still scared, some confused and some actually pi**ed at what they have given up! We should all be pi**ed......

I put my #20 rack on today to add to the suffering, the pain and disappointment of not pushing myself. It felt good to be here, to push past my breath, to struggle, to question my own strength.. why? Because I was in control and could make it stop when ever I wanted, something life doesn't grant us. It's the opportunity to prepare, strengthen and callous the mind
This isn't about PRs, muscles, vanity - this is about building mental toughness to outdo, outrun and survive this crazy world

So, truth.... For me personally, I'm a bit embarrassed by this picture. My muscles are gone and so small compared to what I once had and WANT
To some this would be great, to others I would've been laughed at to consider myself a bodybuilder.
My point in this is.... What WE see matters! When people make a complaint about their appearance, we are often quick to shut them down with a compliment. This is actually an attempt to tell that person their feelings arent validated and essentially shouldn't feel that way.

I don't agree with this - at the end of the day, what we see in the mirror, standing naked, matters! We have a right to our own opinion and this is actually our way of being honest with ourselves. In a society of "body positivity" hashtags and it being so trendy - is it really? When you're alone, nobody around, bare of the false s**t and naked of our costume - ARE YOU BODY POSITIVE?
Truthfully, I believe it's an excuse to do nothing to better ourselves, it's an opportunity to conveniently ignore our personal responsibility.
I appreciate my honest voice, my voice and internal thoughts MATTER. It's what will be my motivation to take back control of my training. It's only when we are truthful, that we have the power to focus on what we want and what we need to do to achieve it - It is there that true confidence & positivity is born

So for dinner I had potatoes, pasta.... And cauliflower and ya, I'm down 2 pounds
I am hearing so f**king much about Keto I want to vomit. My patience are gone with the small amount of me being politically correct.
CARBS ARE NOT BAD & do not make you gain weight. I hear all the excuses.... Having children, age, hormones blah blah blah. I'm 47, 5 children, grandma and NO genetically, my family has major weight issues and a line of morbid obesity.

👉🏽Laziness makes you gain weight
👉🏽Half assed workouts with alot of resting
👉🏽Acting weak makes you gain weight
👉🏽Alcohol makes you gain weight
👉🏽Lack of INTENTIONAL/ HARD movement makes you gain weight
👉🏽Laziness makes you gain weight
Opps said that already🤷🏽‍♀️
👉🏽Sh*ty boxed, bagged, packaged, canned fake food makes you gain weight

Eat REAL food
Train f**king hard

That's it - not hard, not complicated, not difficult to comprehend or misinterpret and not your genetics, age, or whatever else🤦🏽‍♀️
So to all you animal eating, artery clogged, heart diseased, high blood pressure... You probably have no idea what your insides look like, so skinny won't matter🤦🏽‍♀️ **kketo

This is not shaming.... This is truth!

I find that the reason people don't progress is because they believe their own (s**t) story. They lie to themselves and allow that lie to shield them from the truth. It is a defensive mechanism from our ego, and we all have it but it's a killer to positive change and growth.

I read this post from someone the other day and was infuriated after scrolling through her other content. Am I the only one that sees what's wrong with this picture? Now, she's obviously Keto or just not smart but one question... How's that working for you? In your die hard cult thinking behavior , where is the actual sense🤔

Couple things: it's not calories that matter, it's food quality!!! PERIOD
The number on the scale has nothing to do with your health: when the body is healthy, it functions how it is suppose to function. *Sidenote* our bodies are not trying to kill us
- heart disease
- type 2 diabetes
- hormone imbalance
- PCOS
- allergies and skin irritations
- body fat and composition
- 80% of Cancers
- gut
- sleep
- bowels
Are all things that happen from FOOD CHOICE and lack of exercise. Our bodies are not broken or out to get us!!! It treats us how we treat it. If you have zero issues with any of these, keep scrolling. Chances are, the scale might move but internally the body is getting set up to fail elsewhere and sadly there's no scale for that!

So, this girl thinks her body is just broken, it's her body, it's just falling apart🙄 - as far as I'm concerned, she's looking for an excuse to justify the lies she tells herself which are ultimately her choices. The first step to healing your body is getting real instead of looking for some quick fix or medication. Eliminate processed foods, alcohol, refined sugars and animals for 6 months and then tell me how you feel - and if you can't do that🖐🏽 maybe you just like to have problems

Whether you think you can or can't - you'll always be right

I used to hear this and shutter - I could feel a part of me that just couldn't wrap my head around this. There were many times I did things without thought, just simply on auto pilot going through the motions, 'doing' life, not really living it

There were also times I would think about doing a ton of s**t & actually do nothing... So how could that statement be true and why was it so popular🤔

Heavy thought comes with a ton of emotion, and emotions can oftentimes be debilitating - especially if it involves self care & self worth

I have learned that I can't always trust my 'feeling', we can't just do things when we feel like we should or when there's added pressure. There just needs to be a decision, committment and dedication....only for that moment. I can't think too far ahead, I don't need to believe in that moment... Just put in the time and the belief will come when it's over

A few of the girls crushed it last night!🥊

Building a foundation in our youth is crucial to healthy adulting - fact!! And yet so many are taking "being a kid" for granted.
No, it is not expected that they will just have more motivation, energy or ambition. Yes, their metabolism is naturally high, but this can quickly change with poor nutrition and reverse quickly.

👉🏽Fact children are most apt to learn about self care, exercise and nutrition by WATCHING their parents/guardians.

This can go in 2 directions:
👉🏽1. They can see an unhealthy lifestyle and never want the same for themselves. I hear this from alot of members... "I saw my mother struggled and I don't want to be like that" or a parent becomes immobilized and can't care for themselves at a young age.

👉🏽2. They can take what they watch/ see and get absorbed into the mindset. Learn bad habits and eventually become controlled by them. Leading to a domino effect essentially of bad choices that lead to poor self confidence which leads to more bad choices. It then sadly becomes a cycle of illness, injury and "intolerances"

So while I too rode the train of having my kids in multiple sports... Our best (and cheapest) encouragement and opportunity will come from us SHOWING them how to live a healthy lifestyle

It out responsibility as parents to set our children up for success in all forms:
Health
Education
Self-care
Exercise for our heart and our bones
Communication skills
Compassion
And finding their passion and natural skills💗

What does it mean to be a “REBELLE”?

As humans, we undergo so many stresses, pulls, opinions and critiques all while trying to maintain our lives. So… who the f**k am I?

My story is a long one; full of ups and downs, traumatic events including abuse, and moments where I felt lost and didn’t know what my purpose was anymore. As a single mother of five, I was torn between keeping up with the happy and positive persona that I needed my kids to see, and the dark questioning of my true identity on the inside. Who was I other than a single mother? What else did I have to offer? Was I more than my anxiety, depression and PTSD from all the f**ked up s**t that happened to me as a kid? That’s when I hit my rock bottom. I was thinking about ending it all… I had had enough.

I can honestly say that focusing on my physical health was the most integral part of strengthening myself mentally. Working out and learning about fitness were more of a hobby before that pivotal moment, but after I literally picked myself up from the ground it became my everything because I realized the power that it can bring. I ate, breathed and slept fitness. It is one of a few things that I can turn to when I’m feeling like s**t, even still. I chose to make healthier choices for myself and my five daughters; changing what we ate, adding more physical exercise into our daily routine and focusing on a balanced and healthy lifestyle. It shaped me into the happy and positive person I used to pretend to be, and it helped change my family too – together, we grew closer and stronger. I found new passions and interests; I competed in a bodybuilding competition and I realized that I have a need for speed and love motorcycles and fast cars, I am a country girl at heart that needs little spikes of city “high energy” every now and again, and I have a true love for all animals.
