King's International Work Experience program applications open on August 23 and close on September 23! 🚨

The IWE Program allows international students to work flexible part-time jobs on campus. Students can gain valuable work experience to prepare them to enter the workforce. Students can work up to 15 hours per week, and the maximum salary is $2,800.

Workshop and panel brings experts to King's to rethink tourism 07/31/2024

Scholars from around the world gathered at King’s to discuss the impact of tourism as a political force. The interdisciplinary workshop, co-organized by Dr. Kristin Lozanski, and funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), welcomed scholars from across the globe to help better understand how tourism impacts host communities.

King's students and faculty shone a spotlight on diverse and significant research at the Canadian Psychological Association | Société canadienne de psychologie's Annual Convention. Their research delved into topics such as social media use among teenagers and their parents, theory of mind and deafness, older adult maltreatment, and eyewitness reports by children with intellectual disabilities.

Their impactful research underscores the importance of mentorship and collaboration in advancing our understanding of these critical issues. Congratulations to King's students and faculty for their hard work!

Philip Aziz Foundation donates extensive art collection to King's 07/11/2024

In December 2023, King's received an incredible donation from the renowned Canadian artist Philip Aziz. The collection included 80 paintings, numerous sketches, and sculptures. King's is happy to donate one of his notable works, a portrait of Pope John Paul II, to John Paul II Catholic Secondary School in London.

Philip Aziz, a lifelong Londoner and internationally acclaimed artist, is celebrated for his works that reflect a deep interest in liturgical and devotional subjects. He draws inspiration from the rich traditions of Christian art and Orthodox icons. King's is grateful to the Philip Aziz Foundation of Art for entrusting the University with this substantial and invaluable art collection.

Drs. Birnbaum and Chovaz named co-directors of Research Institute with Children 07/09/2024

Join us in celebrating the appointment of Dr. Rachel Birnbaum and Dr. Cathy Chovaz as Co-Directors of the Research Institute with Children (RIC). Their appointment marks a significant milestone for the Institute, ensuring enhanced research capabilities, interdisciplinary collaboration, and pioneering advancements.

King's was honoured to receive the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) Innovation Fund Award, valued at $421,704, for the first time earlier this year, making the development of the RIC possible. Under the leadership of Dr. Birnbaum and Dr. Chovaz, the RIC will drive progress in promoting and advocating for children's agency and participation within their families, schools, and communities.

Drs. Birnbaum and Chovaz named co-directors of Research Institute with Children Drs. Rachel Birnbaum and Cathy Chovaz, recipients of the Canada Foundation for Innovation - Innovation Fund and  Ontario Research Fund – Large Infrastructure Fund), have been appointed as Co-Directors of the Research Institute with Children.
