The WFD works continuously for sign language rights for all deaf people. As part of this work, we are pleased to release a new position paper “Access to National Sign Languages as a Health Need”. National sign languages have a critical role in ensuring deaf people’s optimal mental, physical and social health across the lifespan. Access to national sign languages is a fundamental for optimal health outcomes.

I am recruiting college and university Faculty who are deaf or hard of hearing for a study on challenges faced and strategies employed during COVID-19 and the impact on well-being. This is for an undergraduate thesis course at King's College University at Western University in London, Ontario, Canada. The study has been approved by the Research Ethics Review Committee and is comprised of an online survey. The link is attached below. The survey will be available until January 31st.
