🎉 Today marks the 5th anniversary of a major achievement for disability rights in our country, the coming into force of the Accessible Canada Act!

Over the past five years, we’ve made significant progress in identifying, removing, and preventing barriers to accessibility, and this translates to greater inclusion for over 8 million Canadians with disabilities.

The Accessible Canada Act sets out a goal of realizing a barrier-free Canada by 2040. All Canadians can do their part in identifying and removing barriers to accessibility so that we can create a truly barrier-free Canada for all!

INDIGENOUS PEOPLE'S DAY - JUNE 21, 2024
The Canadian Association of the Deaf – Association des Sourds du Canada (CAD- ASC) has been striving to establish a place for Deaf people to ensure that they have access to education, health, transportation, employment and communications.

CAD-ASC and its members are well aware of the discriminatory laws and practices that allow discrimination to continue. Imagine not being taught a language at birth, left isolated at school or in social situations, being consistently under-unemployed or underemployed. The costs are enormous.

JOURNEE DES PERSONNES AUTOCHTONES - Le 21 juin, 2024
