🎉 Celebrating 40 Years of Empowering Inuit Women! 🎉 Today, we honour Veronica Dewar, Pauktuutit's president from 1998-2003. Veronica's leadership was pivotal in gaining recognition of Pauktuutit as the sixth national Indigenous organization, securing us a seat at crucial governmental discussions. She championed initiatives such as studying intellectual property rights for Inuit traditional knowledge protection and spearheading HIV/AIDS awareness.
