It has been a very busy Rotary Day! Firstly the students who are starting a Rotaract Club at the University of Regina set up a display table, and signed up many students who are eager to join! This afternoon was the All-Clubs BBQ,in Rotary Park. The ShelterBox Canada tent was put up...a big "Thank You!" to Karen Hoeft for supervising this endeavor, and to President-Elect Jayna Amadasun for taking the photographs, as I am still recovering from COVID!

The Rotary Club of Regina Eastview hosted the combined, hybrid meeting at the Delta Regina Hotel on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at 12 noon. President-Elect Jayna Amadasun chaired the meeting, and our speaker was Greg Stevenson, who updated us about the "Chili for Children" program, after which the Community Services sub-committee presented him with a donation.

This week we will have a combined In-person/hybrid meeting of the Rotary Club of Regina and the Rotary Club of Regina Eastview, (with Eastview hosting), at 12 noon, on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at the Delta Regina Hotel. President-Elect Jayna Amadasun will chair the meeting, and the speaker will be Greg Stevenson, talking about Chili for Children, the hot lunch program which was started by his mother, which we have supported for many years.

Rotary Ripple Effect Ride Saturday August 17- This is the 13th year of the Ripple Effect Ride and the 3rd year of naming this The Floyd Manz Memorial Ride. So True! I will be posting the photograph album from our 2024 Golf Tournament later this weekend.

Our two mottos are “Service Above Self” and “One Profits Most Who Serves Best”. The secondary motto was originally “He Profits” got replaced with a more gender neutral “One Profits” to reflect the changing times in Rotary.

Our speaker will be Dr. Jarol Boan, author of "The Medicine Chest: A Physician's Journey Towards Reconciliation."
