Pup Post!
Two years ago, Dawn embarked on a year-long journey being a puppy trainer! We are happy to share that Georgie has successfully completed all of his training and is a graduate of the Aspen Service Dogs program. Georgie and his siblings are all Autism Service Dogs :)
We loved being a part of Georgie's journey, and are so ecstatic for the families who will grow with these amazing pups!

Aspire Psychological Services: How it all Started!
It all Started with Dawn
Aspire Psychological Services (APS) started out as a one woman show. Dawn Marie Chalas is the founder and current owner of APS. APS was a force behind the scenes of many programs within the Spruce Grove area, which included the PCN Obesity Clinic, FCSS Counselling Services, and ZenDen. Before APS included a team of professionals, there was only Dawn! Dawn is experienced in trauma-related issues, obesity-related counselling, anxiety, and depression. Dawn has always been committed to clients and has a strong sense of community. APS began to grow when the demand for Dawn’s services became so great that she recognized the potential for being more involved in the community and to be able to provide more services to those in need. Therefore, she began to take on interns within her counselling services program.
Then There Were Three...
There were many great interns that helped with the development of programs and provided needed services as part of their placement. APS is proud as they too move towards their educational and occupational goals. In 2016, two interns started with APS, Sheila and Vanessa, who changed things for Dawn, because - for the first time - the interns weren’t going to leave after their practicum; no, these two interns were determined to stay! Vanessa and Sheila completed their Provisional hours with Dawn and committed to their roles within the company. Sheila has become specialized in children’s anxiety and depression, couples therapy, and psychoeducational assessments. Vanessa focuses on adult anxiety disorders, especially with men, weight and body image issues, and anger management in both youth and adults.
