For the first time, Columbia College had representation at the Squamish Youth Powwow! ✨ Staff and student volunteers set up a solidarity table to learn how we can better support Indigenous communities in BC.
We asked participants and visitors to contribute to our idea pool by voting on proposed ideas or sharing new ones. The table was a huge success, fostering meaningful connections and deeper understanding of the Squamish Nation. 🌿

We celebrated Indigenous Peoples Day on June 21st, honoring the rich and diverse Indigenous cultures, histories, and traditions of Canada. 🌿 Dawn Naas, from the Nisga’a and St’at’imc Nations, shared her beautiful poetry, songs, and stories, while the Wild Moccasin Dancers captivated us with their vibrant and inclusive performances.
✨ Over 100 students, instructors, and staff from Columbia College joined in the celebration. Thank you all for being part of this memorable event! 🙏🏼
