Welcome to the DAS Lab! We are working to better understand the onset, presentation, and course of depression and anxiety disorders in adolescents and adults.
Our grad students Ellen and Bronwen reminded our lab members how important self care is, and we brainstormed self-care strategies together! Swipe to see them ➡️
Which ones do you think you’ll try? ✨
📚Bita received her Pharm.D at the Tehran University of Medical Sciences and her B.A. in Psychology at UBC. She is now a doctoral candidate in the Clinical Psychology Program here! Bita's research seeks to investigate the effect of hormonal contraceptive use during adolescence on stress response, reward sensitivity, and mental health.
🧁Outside of the lab, she enjoys baking, painting, and playing the piano.
💙Her favourite part of being in the lab is being surrounded by individuals who are excited about improving mental health through a diverse range of research projects that take biological, cognitive, and psychological factors into consideration.
