Children's Yoga and Mindfulness classes
Offering yoga classes for children and young people.
🤔possibly bit late for some of us BUT thinking about small shifts to bedtime summer holiday routines this week can help children return to school well next week 👍

Focusing on senses can help with anxiety and panic that children (and adults!) are experiencing.
The 5-4-3-2-1 grounding technique helps children to focus on something other than anxious thoughts and feelings, and anchor themselves in the present.
Have you tried this technique?

We were so sad to finish our latest four week block a few yogis short (we missed you all). This year has been a tough one hasn’t it?
We did some lovely olympics themed yoga and started our Olympic torches that can be decorated on a rainy summer day 🥰
We tried out chair yoga this morning. We loved it 🥰. Pretending we’d got stuck in a traffic jam and missed the match😱 but it was all just a dream 😴 🤣🧘♀️🧘🙏
What a lovely start to the day! 🥰
So excited to get back to my mini yogis tomorrow morning. 🧘🧘♀️
I’m going to try a bit of laughter yoga with my little box of cheese jokes 🤞🤞😁
Just A few spaces left in our Sunday morning set of 4 classes in Wixams. Send me a message if you have a primary aged child that you think would like some yoga and mindfulness in their life 🧘♀️🙏🧘😊
Starting Sunday at 9am -10am for 4 weeks. 🥳🥳
DM to get payment information, payment saves the space. 4 spaces remaining. 🧘♀️🧘🙏🥰
🧘♀️🧘🙏An early bird email has gone out this morning to sign up to classes for those who previously had cancelled sessions.
(DM me if you think I missed you out!).
4th, 11th, 18th and 25th July are the only dates at the moment with a limited group size. Remaining spaces will go live on Tuesday 🥰
It was world yoga day last Monday 🥰.
Now that the local uptick in cases seems to have passed, I’ll be sending out an email to my mailing list about four Sunday sessions running in July. If you have not received emails from me before feel free to PM your email to get added and find out more 😊🤞 🧘♀️🧘🙏
You can listen to teens talking about how yoga has helped them in their lives through common experiences like exam stress and individual battles, such as eating disorders

Hello all. 🧘♂️🧘♀️The ☀️ is shining and it seems like a good time to see if there are still people out there in the real world. Been sitting at my desk staring at a screen for way too long!
Part one: Can you like and share if you have a child you think would luke to return/start yoga classes on a Sunday morning? (Sheep just for fun 😉)
Had the most amazing start to my evening last night after a very busy day ‘at work’. I did yoga with our local Brownies! 🥰 it was so nice to get a little taste of the real world and I spotted some familiar faces too! After grappling with the technology of course first 😂Namaste.
🥰
~BE INSPIRED BY YOUR KIDS~

Siobhan will be teaching on Mondays at 9:30am UK time.
Emma will be teaching on Fridays at 2pm.
Pop us an email to [email protected] and we will send you zoom details.

Managed to merge both jobs today by choosing to study Yoga research findings formally 🥳🙏🧘
Important to note: the now-famous ‘chocolate mindfulness’ activity will appear in your child’s class in the new year! There must be some worried young yogis out there 🍫 I haven’t forgotten 😂
Merry restful Christmas!
It’s been a tricky year for everyone. Looking forwards to seeing you all again in the new year 🧘♀️🧘🙏 😊
Would be lovely to see lots of pictures shared here of your yoga at home 😊 they can be drawings too if you’ve made your own class plan.🥰
Yoga is called ‘yoga practice’ for a reason. You don’t have to be an expert. Take a few of your favourite poses and do them everyday for 5 minutes and notice how you feel each time
My favourite is a seated twist.😊
Due to the change in restrictions, sadly, I am now able to confirm that the next set of classes are not able to start this Sunday morning.
I will be in touch directly with all those booked on.
Please do encourage your children to practice with their amazing yoga ideas at home.
Interested to know if there are year 6 and year 7 young people locally that you think might be interested in a Sunday morning yoga and wellbeing session?
Well that was the fastest 6 weeks ever! Love my Sunday morning yogis, they are an inspiring and creative bunch. Today we decorated candle holders to brighten up the dark evenings and there was a very Halloweeny feel to our end of session music selection 😊
This morning we spent some more time on balances. It’s so nice to acknowledge that some things take time and practice and there’s no expectation for it to be ‘finished’. We felt strong in our balancing table pose.
Lovely yoga session on this rainy Sunday. We invited our favourite cuddlies today to help us with the tricky bits. And made another pipe cleaner yogi (you can never have too many😊)🧘♀️🧘♂️🙏.
Two more classes in this set of 6. Bookings will open up for a 6 week block starting 8th November soon.
This morning we made breath pictures and then we found when practising our balances we were getting better just by taking some time 🥰🙏🧘♀️
😴😴This week for our mindful activity we used ‘body scanners’ to think about how each area of our body feels. We did tense and relaxation of muscles up and down whole body and then talked about how it can be used to help promote sleep at bedtime 😊they all loved their scraps of cardboard that I brought along to make believe we were in a ‘scanner’ and asked to take them home ( apologies parents 😂)
CHUMS are offering support for children with sleep difficulties.
Following on from the “transitioning back to school post COVID-19” workshops during the summer CHUMS are now offering a one-off virtual workshop for sleep difficulties - a parent workshop for children aged 12 and under and a teenage workshop for children aged 13+.
To register for a workshop email [email protected] with your child's name and contact details.
A small but beautifully formed class started back this morning. Talking about lockdown and doing a few gentle stretches before being joined by a couple more (missed) yogis next week 😊🙏🧘♀️🧘♂️
What a wonderful idea 🥰 keep your anxious child safe with a few ‘saved kisses’ literally up their sleeves
Thought I would share a little tip.
Our youngest has always had a hard time saying ‘goodbye at the preschool/school gates’ she’s very clingy in general. With the restrictions going back to school on toys & her comfort scarf (mine doused in 1 of her favourite perfume bottles of mine) I had to think quick.
I chose to sew on two little kisses that get fully charged with more before drop off, so that when ever she feels worried/sad that she is missing me she can kiss her sleeve & feel happy again.
It may last only temporary but for now it seems to be working, smiles all round on day 1!
I pinched this off another site but think it would be really helpful for a lot of children
Found these helpful back to school resources from on Twitter called ‘Sunday Monday’. These support parents with the return to school of anxious young people 🥰
🥳🥳we have enough yogis signed up to launch a class, with just three spaces left in this very limited offering to start with.
I will send out details later on in the week.
DM if you would like to be added to the mailing list 🧘🙏🧘♀️
