On Sunday the 13th of October I am hosting a charity yoga class, 09:30-10:30 at Holcombe Brook Tennis Club.
All abilities are welcome- adults, kids, families etc and there will be a cake sale afterwards.
I undertake a charity yoga event every year and this year I have been floored by the strength and tenacity of one young boy. He is the 8 year old nephew of a friend and fellow yogi and this charity supported him through his difficult battle with cancer. They have supported and are still supporting him as he battles. All battles leave scars and in this fight he lost his leg, a tragically high price for any young person I am sure you will agree.

I feel like this deserves its own post! My first video (40 minutes) has (finally 🙄, WiFi is terrible) been uploaded to my YouTube channel. It’s something I have been wanting to work on for the last 18 months but life has just got in the way!
So here is the first video! There is much to improve on, sound quality, technology, hotel guests walking past 😂even at 06:00 etc and this is something hopefully I will get better at, but for now my lovely yogis you have 40 minutes to follow along to tonight as class is not on. It is a relatively gentle class, and I hope you enjoy it.

The mere practice of the postures has a healing effect.
Forward bends purify the midsection of the body of any fatty tissue and help to optimise digestive function. Twisting the torso wrings out the body like a towel from the inside, encouraging the digestive system to work more efficiently and facilitating the removal of stored weight. This time we will be focusing on some longer combinations testing fitness, stamina and mental endurance. Once the body tires so does the mind so its important to keep that discipline in boxing.
Core muscles are important in all training forms, whether yoga or martial arts, cardio, or weightlifting. For that reason we will be smashing the abs, burning the calories and making you regret every Margarita you sipped on the beach 🤣.
This class is designed not only to test the hardcore fitness fanatics but to encourage anyone starting their fitness journey to come and give it a go.
Remember - " The expert in something was once a beginner."
There will be a strong & powerful vinyasa flow that will sculpt a strong core, target deep abdominal muscles. Chloe will ensure you reap the benefits which include building internal heat, increased stamina, strength, and flexibility, as well as stress reduction.
The final part of her flow will deeply stretch the core area and build upper back strength.
The session will finish with 10 minutes of guided relaxation and afterwards you will enjoy:
⭐️Homemade healthy low sugar protein bar. (You’ll need a protein boost).
⭐️Homemade wellness shot. (It is approaching Winter after all!).
⭐️Refreshing wellness cocktail.
⭐️Herbal tea.

Good morning yogis!
Happy Monday! Let’s start the Monday right by mentally telling ourselves we are going to yoga tonight! As you all remember, I gave you the power of what we will practice in tonights yoga class….. and the results are as follows:
🔥 18 votes (spicy)
🫶🏼 17 votes (restorative)
In the interest of fairness tonight’s yoga class will be half and half! (It was so close) We will start the class strong, fiery and flow-ey and move on to a beautiful restorative, stretchy and wholesome end to class. (25 mins strong, 25 mins chill).
Class isn’t on for 2 weeks after tonight so come along and get your cup emptied!
Class is back on Monday 12th August.

Firstly well done! I was SUPER impressed with the high energy levels, alignment and resilience you all showed. Honestly it was probably up there with one of the most enjoyable classes I have ever taught.
I really hope you left class feeling better in yourselves and your hips felt wonderful afterwards.

If you can eat a small snack or no food before class you’ll feel more comfortable, and it’s best practice. As there are lots of twisting poses so your tummy will feel it.

Yoga binds involve clasping your hands or reaching for a body part that may seem out of reach in a given pose. By doing so, you actively engage muscles, tendons and ligaments, which gradually increases your flexibility. This expansion of your range of motion can lead to greater ease in other yoga poses, enhancing your overall practice. The act of binding in yoga poses requires a combination of strength and stability. As you clasp your hands or link your fingers in a bind, you engage your muscles, particularly in your arms, shoulders, and upper back. This strength-building aspect not only helps you maintain the bind but also improves your posture and overall upper body strength over time as well as stability, helping you balance more effectively in challenging poses.
All abilities welcome. Il bring my yoga belts to assist.
