TERRY'S CHOCOLATE ORANGE PROTEIN SMOOTHIE ๐๐๐ซ
Because it doesn't have to be Christmas to enjoy this bad boy ๐คค๐ It's delicious! It feels indulgent yet refreshing and is a fantastic quick breakfast paired with banana and wholemeal toast or a great snack mid-morning or afternoon snack. Calorie controlled, low fat, and high protein ๐๐ช
YOU WILL NEED
๐ 150 ml semi skimmed milk
๐ Half a frozen banana
๐ 1 scoop of vanilla protein whey
๐ 3 tbsp natural yoghurt
๐ 1 tsp cocoa powder
๐ 1 tsp peanut butter powder
๐ 1 tsp orange extract
๐ 5 or 6 ice cubes
๐ Splash of water
Whizz it up in a blender and serve. D E L I C I O U S !

4 week bootcamp starts 8th January. Tailored for mums starting or returning to exercise from 6 weeks postpartum. However all mums welcome! You don't need to be pushing a pram to fit in ๐
Step Into Fitness offers a gentle introduction into exercise. It's important to us that mums feel suitably challenged and accomplished rather than beasted and failing. Do expect cardio though - it's those endorphins that release feel good vibes and support you in feeling happier and more energised ๐ซถ
We focus on that posterior chain of muscle that is so hugely affected during pregnancy. Strenthing the glutes, hamstrings and back muscles are hugely important to postural improvement. The deep core, stabilisers and pelvic floor are an integral part of the 4 week programme.

I really enjoyed the classes as Laura is fun and very motivating. Also, the fact that you can do the classes in your own home is brilliant. FINDING MY STRENGTH PROGRAMME
I am humbled and honoured to be joining forces with to bring this national lottery funded programme to mums affected by babyloss.
A 2.5 month programme with the aim of providing mums with the right tools, and guidance to support them on their journey to a stronger body and mind.
The physiological and emotional responses of having our baby taken away are momentous. We fell in love with the very thought of them. We planned, hoped and dreamed. We carried them, laboured and delivered them before saying a final goodbye. Our postpartum body needs love and attention. We need to heal physically and emotionally and find a little bit of ourselves again in order to live and not just survive.
Thank you to Louise and Catherine at LFMNT for trusting in me and to the amazing ten mums who are journeying with us.

Our StrongMum Edel and her little boy Fionn have been the inspiration behind our charity support. I first met Edel and Fionn on our live zoom class last June. Edel is a powerhouse of strength, physically and mentally - she has to be in order to keep life as normal as possible for her family and to live life to its fullest with all her boys.

I signed up to Step Into Fitness (SIF) to make a change in my lifestyle. I was never one who liked going to the gym before I had my babies but I went anyways as I thought it was my only real option at getting fit. When I found out about SIF I just knew that this was for me. No time away from my babies, no travel time and more importantly for me , I didnt have to step foot in a gym!
I was nervous doing the first workout as I hadnโt worked out in a few years and I wasnโt sure I would even get through it but Laura made it inviting, fun and suitable for everyone regardless of age or capabilities!

DO YOU WANT TO LOOK GOOD NAKED?!
There's no denying that when I was in my 20s I exercised to make an impact on how I looked!
It wasnt until after my baby girl Emily died in 2016 that I had an adjustment in mindset. Exercise became my lifeline. It was the biggest part of my toolkit in helping me feel more like me. It gave me focus and routine. The combination of upbeat music and exercise unleashed a drug free high! Those feel-good endorphins didn't "fix" me or take my grief away but they absolutely played a vital role in picking my spirits up and in making the weight on my shoulders a little lighter.
Our 4 week beginners bootcamp (Step Into Fitness) is a great place to start or rekindle your journey, no matter what underlying reason or what physical and emotional goals you have in place.

Babyloss Awareness Week ๐
My little Emily died shortly after birth in November 2016. She lived for 20 minutes and passed away peacefully in our arms.
People looking on felt sad. They sent their condolenses. They shed a tear. Said a prayer. But what that world doesn't see is the journey to conceive. All the hoping, dreaming and planning how our family would operate as a family of 4. The 14 weeks carrying Emily knowing she was going to die The unknown of whether she would survive labour. The tears in the shower. The anger. The fall outs with friends and family because the hurt was so bad I couldn't reason with anything or anybody. The heartache from stupid comments or from no comments as people hung their head and walked on. The looks of pity. The knowledge of the expectation to move on, to be thankful for what we had. The postpartum body. The milk supply and engorged breasts with no baby to feed. Picking our family grave. Choosing a little white covin and deciding what to write on her headstone as nothing could do her justice or explain our love. The 3 months spent sitting at her graveside each and every day, on a picnic blanket in the cold of winter, because I needed and longed to feel close to her ๐
The devastation and trauma of babyloss is immeasurable. The aftermath, the emptiness and the void are tough to journey but there's no doubt that acknowledgement of your baby and the opportunity for their name to be spoken has an integral part to play in the journey of grief and in healing.
Babyloss Awareness Week runs from the 9th the the 15th October and is a time dedicated to remembering all the babies lost in pregnancy, during birth or shortly afterwards.
Help us in breaking the silence. Say their name. We as bereaved parents love the opportunity to talk about our little one. It's comforting to know they are not forgotten.

We have 6.15am for the crazy o'clock crew that like to get the workout nailed before the day sends any curveballs!!! Often on screen with bedhead and the odd Tshirt on back-to-front ๐คฃ (but in good company and nobody judges)
We have the 9.30am crew that are often more sleep deprived, have had a morning โ๏ธ and have everyone fed and watered before hitting up a class. Some rather sticking needles in their eyes than see me with a huge smile bouncing about on screen at 6.15am ๐คช๐คฃ
We have the 8.30pm evening crew that are usually away to work early doors and enjoy a sweat sess to get rid of all the days stresses.
Step Into Fitness is thrown into the mix at 9.30am and is specifically designed for mums starting or returning to exercise. This programme caters for mums from birth and beyond. So from 6 weeks postnatal to 16 years and beyond ๐คฑ๐ถ๐ง๐ง๐ง๐ฉ
Classes can be mixed and matched each week to support mums in reaching their weekly target. Recordings are available for all classes enabling mums to catch up in their own time across the week and over the weekend.
Schools are back soon ๐. This is your cue to do something for you. Invest in your body and mind. Recharge, energise and destress.

Wendy is mum to 1 year old baby Fiafh. Wendy was slightly nervous about starting Step Into Fitness, our 4 week condensed bootcamp, as she is registered blind and usually finds it difficult to follow instructor led classes. I honestly feel so humbled by her presence on screen. What a challenge, an achievement and a barrier to overcome!
Live Zoom classes work really well for Wendy as can get up close to the screen to see whats going on.

"I really struggled to get the last stone shifted post baby and get back into my old clothes. I lacked energy and just felt wobbly and unconditioned.
My goals were to lose some pounds, tone up, boost energy levels and just make better food choices.
Laura is very patient and accommodating. She put me so at ease and was very helpful with guidance on device positioning, as well as keeping me right on the workout itself. She is so upbeat, motivating , enthusiastic and knowledgeable in her field. You are guaranteed a laugh with your workout. She demos all moves before going into full workouts which is great and helps correct positioning when its needed.
Step Into Fitness gives you the best of both worlds to get started/return to exercise, with very informative exercise classes (modifications given where needed) as well as some really good nutritional advice and new ideas to help you make better choices with your diet.
The weekly checkins are great to keep you on track with your goals and the options of joining live or on record make it very doable as a busy mum.
By the end of the 4 weeks I felt great! I was alot less wobbly, lighter on the scales and energy levels had improved. I couldnโt recommend the programme highly enough. I have continued onto the Wellness Programme with Laura to continue my health and fitness journey and am loving the Online Gym."

I can't believe the difference in just 4 weeks. The pace of the classes was brilliant and built up gradually and I feel so much stronger and fitter after such a short time. The support with nutrition and encouragement from Laura was amazing - the recipes are delicious and I was never hungry. Weekly check-ins helped to boost my confidence and help make subtle changes along the way to get the best results.

" I LOVED the 6 week Wellness Programme. The recipes are amazing, such a vast range to suit all tastebuds. My favourite was definitely having Nutella in my breakfast ๐ซ๐ and the korma curry, have never tasted one as good!! Loved that fact that there was always an option for something with less prep for the evenings when everything was running behind schedule like microwaved baked potato with Turkey sausages or pizza! I never felt hungry at all, I didnโt crave anything as I was allowed treats in moderation.
The WhatsApp group was such a great support, from motivational messages to pictures of what everyone had eaten that day, general advice or a safe place to let off some steam! Laura is such a motivator and encourager, she really pushes you to do the best that you possibly can, but is also realistic being in the midst of crazy family life herself!
