If weeks that include year 6 SATS can be brilliant, what a brilliant week we have had!
Our children have displayed such fabulous qualities of resilience and perseverence; we are so proud of each and everyone of them.
Again, we would like to thank Warburtons for their very generous donation for our Year 6 SATS breakfast โ the children have certainly enjoyed it.
Year 6 have decided to donate the left over donations to Edlington Community Organisation (ECO) to support those in our communities who will benefit from them.
Well done Year 6, you are all amazing!
The hot air balloon did arrive on Friday afternoon and every child was able to go out and see it, however the short gusts of wind did mean that although they cold-inflated the balloon , it was too breezy for hot inflation. It was an incredible experience none the less for the children and staff alike and we wish to thank the organisers and wish them well for the Doncaster Balloon Festival on the 19th and 20th July 2024!
Our year 6 children are loving our KS2 SATs breakfast that the school staff are running for them from 8:20am Monday to Thursday.
We would like to say a massive thank you to Mrs Falcus (an ex-parent) whom has sponsored our breakfast again this year from Warburtons. We really do appreciate it!

Toilet training tips - fantastic snippet of advice ERIC UK
We're continuing the conversation about Interoception and toileting.
Today we're sharing some toilet training tips...
Understanding messages from their body helps children with toilet training. Learning how to link the signals from their bodies with their bowel & bladder actions can be really helpful for them.
Tips for including this as part of your childโs learning process to get clean and dry:
๐ฝTeach them how their body makes wee and poo and how it tells them when it needs to come out.
๐ฝInstead of asking if they want to go to the toilet, ask if they can feel any wee or poo that wants to go in the toilet? This will help them make sense of the messages theyโre receiving.
๐ฝPictures and videos on how the body works and the bowel and bladder are fun and make sense of why we use the toilet.
๐ฝInclude body awareness to help children understand the messages from their bowel and bladder
๐ฝIdentify if theyโre having difficulty learning Interoception messages. A sensory assessment may be helpful.
From tomorrow any NEW EHCP applications in Doncaster will be able to be submitted online. The EHCP process is going digital and parents/carers will be able to have a view of the submissions for their child's EHCP and see how it is progressing.
Existing EHCP's are in the process of being transferred to the online system.
Training and advice for parents/carers will be available and we will let you have details on how you can access that support in the coming months.
The application and referral process will remain the same, the only thing that is changing is that the system will be online.
For further information on the new process please see the Doncaster Council's Local Offer website where there is a FAQ section on the new EHCP system.
