🏋️♀️ squats followed by lower body accessory work and core
🏃♀️ some conditioning at the end to set up everyone for the day.

It’s been a busy couple of days at the studio!
But great seeing so many people in and enjoying the workouts.
Studio will be closed for a week but will have some exciting updates upon my return.

The goal is to bring the most inclusive fitness classes that cater for all ages and abilities and hopefully we are moving in the right direction!

Felt so good seeing everyone again and getting back to it. Forgot how much I loved it…and the abuse received.
Full womens class and few spaces left on Monday 7pm
Next up Wednesday night. Still have spaces in the women class available and a few in the open class.
Saturday morning class will go on sale tomorrow. Starts Saturday for 6 weeks if interest is high enough.
Boxing fitness classes are back! Feb 19th
After years of being asked, I have secured a space in Corstorphine community council building, 5 Kirk loan. for 4 hours a week. Below is the information for now. A booking system is currently being set up in near future. Drop me a message for me to put you on mailing list.
**As overheads are different, smaller classes and cost, a few things will be different**
Block 1 Timetable:
Monday and Wednesday
6-7pm Women’s only
7-8pm open to all
16 spaces per class
£50 for 6 weeks (1 class a week) (£8 per class)
I had a huge influx of interest. An email will be going out this week with all relevant information. If there are spaces available left (drop in prices will be advertised on the nights of classes)
Until next year! Back to the pool for training, and chase down sone bigger distances and a team to join me!
A year to convince to do one!
1500m PB this year of 27mins, so hopefully take that down and get some good 3/5k times next year.
Birthday weekend for me and the wee man. Lots of fun with friends and family! Loved it ❤️
Enjoyed Loch Lomond. Placed 11th out of 100 in my heat, broke 30mins again.
A year ago tomorrow I completed a 5k open water swim in aid of raising funds to support and newly diagnosed families get access to sign language lessons.
Tomorrow I am swimming loch Tay once again, only 1.5k this time.
I was honest enough to admit I had a wobble in cold choppy water, but went on to finish the 5k last year.
So I’m off to tackle those demons and ensure I start the race better this time. I am using this year as preparation for a bigger challenge next year.
Moral of the story, don’t quit, face challenges head on and if it doesn’t go to plan, reset, learn and go again.

Enjoying the lack of pressure on swims compared to last year and Was good to get a PB on my 1500m.
Next up loch Tay.
Lochore 1500m open water.
Proud of big Ian taking part in his first open water swim and completing the 1500m. Was a great day for it and he has put the work in to be able to complete it.

Great day running Edinburgh half marathon.
It’s not been best preparation but happy to get 1.55 finish.
Most importantly big well done to and for completing the run too and raising an amazing amount for while they were at it. 💚

Doing something daily to improve physical or mental health even if only 5mins. It all adds up.
Needing to improve my cold conditioning to be better than last year when open water swims come back.

36 weeks gone and today was the Last session with this legend who I have trained for her wedding, through a pandemic and now through pregnancy.
Mel has done amazing, Super consistent in 2x a week, moaned constantly but done it all none the less. Because of that the recovery process will be a lot easier and the pathway for that is already written.
Good luck and I am looking forward to meeting the baby. Weight and s*x already guessed.

I’m very fortunate to work and support as many people as I do with work. I am very guilty of not highlighting the great things they all achieve and will do more this year to show examples of how exercise can enhance your life and it doesn’t need to be over complicated.
