Practicing slowing down and being present. You don’t have to do anything to heal, you just have to fully be present with yourself.

One of the most common comments I get from people is “ I don’t feel like the old me” or “I don’t feel like myself anymore”.
Truth is you are born your most authentic purest self and as you go through your childhood and pain and hurt you lose parts of yourself.
You learn to judge, hide, shrink, suppress, reject and abandon parts of yourself that won’t be accepted by others.
Over time as life stress builds up you cope by disconnecting from your heart and your body making it harder to experience love, joy and pleasure and everything just seems a bit grey.

The darker aspect of my previous post is that they are basically conditioning your brain to think
If you oppose immigration at all even the unchecked illegal immigration then that means you’re racist.
Then if you do say anything, you’ll get put in prison for hate speech.
Right if you don’t know how your brain works you have a conscious and a subconscious mind.
Your subconscious mind controls your identity and your beliefs that shape your internal reality which then creates your external reality.
Your subconscious mind can be programmed through stories, ideas and metaphors.
It’s a way to program thoughts and create programs that run in your brain.
What’s happening at the moment is mass subconscious conditioning at a nationwide scale.
All these stories you keep hearing constantly on social media and the news.
What’s going on is they are creating a reality where we are all fearful or at least weary of anyone who doesn’t look like you.
Your body and mind is trained to look for threat based on its programming and I am fearful of a world with so many mixed communities are living in a state of fear.
Now why would they do this?
Simple.
To make you easier to control.
When your brain is in survival mode, especially for a long time it will accept almost anything to feel safe again.
However be very mindful of the solutions they offer and if it actually creates change.
The good news is you don’t have to accept their programming.
You can choose to open your heart to your neighbours instead of close it in fear.
Show someone you’re safe rather than a threat.
That isn’t to say to be soft, rather strong but giving cues of safety to show I’m no threat while also being ready to switch on when needed.
We can’t connect in survival mode. A world living in fear is not a fun, loving world.
You need to know how to switch stress/survival mode off so you can reconnect and still experience joy and love and then go back to stress mode when needed.
This is what teach people to do. I’m no guru, I’m just on my journey myself and share practices that have been tried and tested by myself and my clients and members.
We practice twice a week, basically learning how to reconnect with your body and your true self, recognise what you’re feeling, turn stress/survival mode off and then process what you’re feeling.
There all skills you can practice and get good at the more you practice.

Above all, recognise when you need to take time off social media or consumption of stories.
Be as conscious of the information you’re consuming as the food you’re putting into your body.
You wouldn’t constantly consume junk food, stop consuming so much junk news. It creates a version of you you’re not even choosing consciously.

All 4 of these are blocked when you are stuck in survival mode because you typically don’t feel safe to be the authentic you, express your authentic thoughts and feelings and when you’re not being authentic, you cannot truly be loved or connect with your purpose because your heart is closed.
The path to authenticity is learning how to feel and guide your body through your bodies own natural release process so you can heal your inner child and trauma and reclaim your authentic self.

Sometimes anxiety is your body screaming you to listen to yourself.
That’s the difference with my work and other therapy. I’m not telling you to listen to me. I’m teaching you how to listen to yourself.

Sometimes I feel like we are playing the real life hunger games but it’s more psychological and the solution is raising your consciousness.
How you connect and relate to others are based on patterns you learned through childhood.
How you deal with conflict with your partner is based on your survival responses you learned from childhood.
If you notice yourself get triggered in relationships and find it hard to navigate it is likely your inner child is talking over in that moment and either shutting down, running away or losing your temper.
All of these things can be resolved so you can heal the pattern and experience healthy intimacy, love and relationships.

When your body sees emotions as unsafe, you will find it hard to tolerate others emotions such as your partners or your kids.
If your partner struggles to hold space for your feelings, they likely find it hard to hold space for their own.
The good news is everyone can learn emotional intelligence and how to feel your feelings.

Most of the people I work with you would never guess they experience anxiety.
What signs have you noticed?
You solve your life problems by taking action.
It’s better to take action, fail, learn from it and take the next action with the wisdom gained than to worry about taking the wrong action, never take action and stay stuck exactly where you are.
You can’t fear making mistakes, it’s a part of life and how we learn our lessons.
But this doesn’t mean that you’re a f**k up and not worthy of loving.
Keep growing
You’re not stuck with anxiety.
It’s a very normal symptom of the human experience we call life when there is too much stress and emotions inside you that is pushing your body into survival mode.
You can learn how to come out of survival mode and release the stress and emotions and this will stop the anxiety.
You cannot learn this cognitively. You can’t read a book and learn how to feel.
You have to learn somatically, meaning through your body through feeling and experience.
This is what I teach people to do in my 121 Somatic Release Method program.
I’ve created a simple process that if you follow it, you cannot fail. You just have to be willing to let go of the old you and step into your best self.

The key to feeling joy, love and happiness in your life is learning how to be with the grief, anxiety and shame.
You cannot choose what to feel, you either feel it all or nothing.

The answer to anxiety is full acceptance and surrendering into it.
However this is easier said than done.
The problem is that your body sees the experience of nervous system activation and anxiety as a threat so it cannot surrender into it and instead tries to suppress it or resist or avoid it.
The same can be said for your emotions. Typically, guilt, shame, anger, anxiety and vulnerable emotions.
So the key is to first rewire and remove these rules your body is following.

A common mistake with anxiety is looking to avoid anxiety and uncomfortable feelings or make them go away.
The thing is, life is going to be stressful at times and to fully experience life is to accept and feel all of the feelings.
Otherwise you end up living a very small unfulfilling life.
