Tin Tin Collectables is a unique Vintage store situated in Alfies Antique Market in the heart of Londons famous antique hunting ground - Church Street NW8
Tin Tin Collectables has long been the 'go to' shop for ladies (and some gentlemens) vintage costume and accessories from the early 20th Centuary to around the 1930s. Film, Television. and Theatre costume departments all regards Tin Tin Collectables as first port of call, and many of the finest period dramas sport costume and accessories from out collection. Museums and private collectors all regularly visit out store with an eye to topping up collections or augmenting collections.
Circa 1900 is this ‘tea for two’ set by Crown jewellers ASPREY of Bond Street. It’s it beautifully fashioned and packs a whole heap of pieces into one small case. It comprises of - 2 cups (with dateable reg stamps) 2 spoons, a strainer, teapot & spirit burner, milk bottle, sugar jar, and two biscuit boxes. All complete and in excellent condition.
A large & imposing wardrobe trunk in black canvas with tan wood trim, brass trimmings and locks (with key). The interior it in excellent condition and is complete with trouser & jacket swing out hangers, a hat compartment, three smaller drawers, a large drawer with two more lidded and removable drawers.
Here’s an old friend from my Scottish hometown. Always pleased to see him!

An exceptionally well presented Louis Vuitton hat/laundry trunk complete with removable liner.
An excellent example of a Louis Vuitton ladies trunk with removable lingerie tray. This trunk has a little bit of provenance…… This ‘lady’s trunk,’ was originally owned by Millie Harjes, daughter of John Henry Harjes.
It has been passed down through generations and comes directly from a family descendant.
John Henry Harjes, a founder of the banking firm Drexel, Harjes & Co (later evolving into J.P Morgan), was a prominent figure in French society.
He arrived in Paris from Philadelphia in 1868 and served as the first President of the American Hospital of Paris.
His son, Henry Herman Harjes, is credited with introducing polo to France.
Millie’s sister, Nelly, married the jeweler Jacques Cartier in 1912.
The Harjes family motif adorns the top and sides of the trunk.

A smart and restored Louis Vuitton low steamer trunk.
Decided to try a little light betting! And what better than this 1930s ‘chip caddy’ complete with 260 bacolite counters & 5 poker die.
In good time for summer drinks is this iconic GUCCI 1960s ice bucket & tongs.
In excellent condition are these Christian Louboutin Bolcheva 120 fringed over the knee boots in black suede with silvered leather tassel trim. With original box.

A field thermos with original leather case. The case is marked 4th December 1909 and was carried by A H B Hamilton of the 1st battalion Welsh regiment. Still in lovely working condition. #1909
A WW1 military field telescope in excellent restored and polished condition. Stamped 1917 and with the military mark, it comes equipped with its carrying case with a spare lens.
A Goyard shoe case, circa 1950) made to carry with pairs of shoes in the felt lined compartments. In excellent condition, fully restored and polished.
First out of the traps today is a pair of early 20c novelty vestas. The first is a violin/cello (6.75cms) with the striker and opening at the base, secondly is in the form of a boxer type dog (5.50cms) with the striker and opening below the collar.
Slightly larger than your average sat nav, this 1920s version by Sifton Praed of St. James is housed in its own miniature carrying case. All eight maps are double sided and concertina out to cover the whole United Kingdom. All intact and in excellent condition.
Although its travelling days are well behind it, this lovely low early 20thC Louis Vuitton trunk will make a most impressive feature to any room.
At 82cms wide this is an idea size for a coffee table, end of bed, or hallway storage. Circa 1910 this Louis Vuitton trunk has traveled the world and has the travel stickers to prove it! It is fully restored and ready to go.
Another rare survivor, this time from august 1926. Tailored by Robert Lillico of Maddox Street. This is a smart two piece city suit with a single breast three button front with a plain back, jetted pockets, and a working five button cuff. The trousers have a fishtail back, suspender buttons, and a half belt. The sizing is : chest 42” waist 34” inside leg 31 1/2”
This absolute gem of a suit was made for Sir William Gilbey in February 1931 by Robert Lillico of Maddox Street. It is a medium weight cream wool with a fine black stripe. The measurements are chest 42”, waist 34”, inside leg 31 1/2”. The condition is excellent apart from a couple of pin hole moth marks on the trouser. The trousers themself are fish tail back, built in belt, side pockets, and suspender buttons. The waistcoat is double breasted with a button four show four configuration, there are four outside flapped pockets and one interior pocket, the buttons carry the cartouche of Sir William Gilbey, all button holes are hand stitched. The jacket has a strait back with no vent, it is double breasted again with a button three show three configuration, the pockets are jetted, and the sleeves have a five button cuff with working buttonholes. All in all it’s a remarkable survivor from a golden age of fashion.
Dating to 1914 this hallmarked silver flask would have been the last word in luxury for a huntsman. Traditionally this would have been worn under your hunting pinks to provide a bit of a stiffener during the chase.
You can wait ages for a decent suite of Selro jewellery and three turn up at once. The devil bracelet suites were designed by the company founder, Paul Selenger
ASPREY of BOND STREET are responsible for this very lovely honey coloured leather gentleman’s weekender. The top part is a attaché/suit case, while the bottom part opens to reveal spaces for jewellery, cosmetics etc. It is marked ASPREY on both parts. Excellent condition.
A rather rare & risqué Edwardian glass perfume flask. The total length is 3.5 inches including the crown stopper (marked ‘Germany’), it has a frilly ‘petticoat’ to the top of the leg.
In excellent condition is this solid hide leather suitcase by Finnigans (Manchester).
A matching pair of 1920s Louis Vuitton (25”) suitcases in excellent condition and retaining their original removable tray. Stencilled canvas with brass trim throughout.
