Strengthening the Representation of Women in Diplomacy: Challenges and Policy Solutions 18/06/2024

The Women in Diplomacy project, launched in 2022, leverages research, collaboration, and dialogue to address the misrepresentation and under representation of women in this field. 🌍

This report summarises key insights from interviews with twelve women who have held high-ranking diplomatic positions or participated in international diplomatic processes.

🗣 ''Global challenges simply cannot be tackled by excluding women and other underrepresented groups from decision-making processes; hence it is imperative to ensure those processes are inclusive.''

It is with the greatest sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the death of our Director, Professor Christopher Coker.

On his passing, Co-Director Professor Chris Alden said, "Christopher's originality of thought and sparkling intellect shaped a generation of scholars, policy makers and students studying war in our times. All of us at LSE IDEAS were privileged to know and work with him over the years. His presence will be sorely missed."
