Haven’t done a run in a long time, so typical me I felt it would be clever to get up at 6.45am whilst on holiday, in the boiling heat, to do a 5k. I did make a conscious effort to take it slow, especially at the start, and I’m very happy with my negative splits. I could definitely get used to running in these surroundings ☀️🏃🏻♂️

So today I will take my 22,000th PT session since I started my business in 2014. So much has happened in these ten years, including 3 different gyms. I wouldn’t be where I am today without everyone helping me along the way. Family, friends, and of course all my clients I have ever trained. All your recommendations are absolutely invaluable, and continue to be, as I couldn’t have a business without them. I absolutely love what I do, and I am honestly so thankful that I am able to do a job that I love. Can’t wait to see what the next year brings. 💪
After over 8 weeks out post operation, I thought this morning would be the perfect opportunity to go for a 5km run alongside a client to ease back into it. Today is Global Running Day, so I couldn’t resist it! 🏃🏻♂️
Feels great to be back after 6 weeks off. I found it extremely difficult not training for that long, and not only not training, but basically doing nothing. I’m not one who usually trains whilst I’m away, but I have really missed it, and to get it all done before breakfast is definitely the one! Not a bad location for it either 😊☀️💪

Over 3 weeks into this whole no exercise malarkey and I have to say it’s a real struggle!!! Anyone who knows me, knows I’m constantly on my feet and don’t stop moving. Having to relax and sit down is not very me. I can’t wait to be able to train again. I’m looking forward to being able to join some of your sessions, give that extra motivation. Hopefully I can still keep up… Not long now!!! 💪😊 🏋️♂️

I unfortunately can’t join in with any sessions at the moment so I had to find someone who would step in for me. The best part about this was approximately 10 minutes in she dropped the weights and said “This is not for me”. Clearly her mother’s daughter! 😜💪😂
As many of you know, I will be going in for another operation later today so I will probably be quiet on here over the next few weeks. Usually, I’m pacing around non stop, but I will have to get used to telling everyone what to do whilst sitting down and relaxing 😂. Not being able to exercise, or be mobile is going to be a real struggle and something I’m not used to, and certainly don’t like doing. However, I will be back better and stronger in no time and I promise to not let it affect our sessions. If anything, I will be taking my frustration out on all of you, so good luck!!!😉💪

1 year ago we FINALLY moved into our house. I was lucky enough to be able to build my dream gym. It’s been a crazy eventful year, but 2,554 sessions later and here we are. Gone are the clean, spotless walls. They were quickly replaced with hand and sweat marks. Thanks to all of you who keep coming back week after week. I’m sure very deep down you love it really 🤔😂💪

So today I woke up with the idea of working out how many clients I have had since I started. I have a spreadsheet which shows how many sessions I have done but I wanted to figure out how many actual clients I have seen. Luckily, I know an excel genius who worked this out for me and quite incredibly he told me it was 999! So that’s 10 years, 21,429 sessions, 3 gyms and 999 clients!!!! Thank you so much to everyone who has decided to train with me through the years. I’m so appreciative of each and every one of you. Maybe number 1000 will get a free session 😂💪🏋🏻♀️

Anyone who knows me, knows how big a role exercise plays in my life. So to have had to take a month off because of my operation hasn’t been easy at all, not just physically, but mentally too. Finally, today I was able to get back in my gym and do a very light, short, full body workout. I just did the below circuit twice:
Plank - 1 min
Raised plank - 1 min
Slam balls - 20
Dips - 20
Light Shoulder press - 10
Light Arnold press - 10
Battle rope variations - 1 min
Step ups - 10
Plyometric jumps - 10
Press ups - 15
Ab wheel - 10
Lateral raise hold - 1 min
It feels good to be back on it!! 💪
One of my favourite exercises to do with clients. The slam ball is a great full-body exercise. They help you gain explosiveness and muscle strength from your shoulders all the way down to your legs. Love to incorporate it in most of my workouts!
Yesterday I managed to hit another milestone when I led my 21,000th PT session. I have now run my business for 10 years and I still love it as much as I always have. Some of you are crazy, a few of you are highly annoying (you know who you are), and ALL of you moan, but I wouldn’t change it for the world 😂!!! It’s the most rewarding job I could have ever wished for, so I wanted to thank everyone who has ever trained with me. I couldn’t do it without you!!! 💪

Today brings to an end another year of doing the job I love. 2,657 sessions completed in the last 12 months. I do have to thank all my clients. There’s never a dull day. 10 years ago to the day, I officially became a personal trainer. 20,799 sessions later and here I am. When I first started, I never imagined things growing like they have. I am so fortunate to have met so many amazing people. There have definitely been highs and lows, there have definitely been some disagreements, but that’s all part of the learning process. I have had 3 gyms, and there’s some clients who have amazingly trained in all of them. Last year I even managed to do a few sessions in 10 Downing Street. I know im known for being extremely ‘unsympathetic’ but I love you all really 😂. Here’s to 10 more years of great experiences, pain and torture. Thank you to every single one of you who has helped me along this journey. 💪
