If you’re attending the Garden Village fair this Sunday you or your family are welcome to join in our classes for free. Club chair Ken and coaches Anthony and Jacob will be on hand to make sure you get some free tennis. No kit required.
1pm ages 4-9
2pm ages 10-12
3pm ages 13-16
4pm Adults (ages 17 upwards)
5pm onwards, free play for all ages.

SPACES AVAILABLE for all ages in our coaching programme. SPECIAL OFFERS on adult membership too. We are RECRUITING!!

For kids we’d recommend the LTA youth start courses where they get kit (racquet, balls, T shirt and sweatbands), and coaching (6 lessons) for just £35. (Available for ages 4-11).
New for this year: GIRLS ONLY starter session.

For adults we have are friendly beginner and improved regulars who would love to see you down at their Thursday evening class at 6pm. For the more experienced there’s an advanced class at 7pm.

A new year means new opportunities. Gosforth GVTC are recruiting for new junior players. We have spaces in all age categories but we are particularly keen to have more kids aged 3-8 take up the sport. One small step for the club, and a giant leap for our tennis.

We have a new court surface! The sand has been completely replaced and those annoying irregularities in the court surface are gone by straightening the fibres of the lawn.
Last Saturday was our first day of play on the new surface and well attended. Funds were also raised for Macmillan Care.
Thank you to REPLAY maintenance who did the rejuvenation.
We are open throughout the year for new members and now is a good time to join. Details of who to contact are on the noticeboard outside our courts or come and meet us on a Saturday afternoon (from 1.30pm) at our social play (weather permitting).

Introductory tennis courses for ages 4-11 starting in June at Gosforth GVTC. Ian and Anthony are running the ever popular LTA youth start courses, where kids new to tennis get a racquet, balls, T-shirt, sweatbands, and 6 lessons for £34.99. Tennis Ball lost and found
The weather is so much improved and the flowers growing around the court are radiant……… masses of forget-me-nots and bluebells at the back of the courts and more forget-me-nots in containers and a flower bed at the front, and more tennis balls end up lost.
The season in full swing and new members will be welcomed throughout the year. Details to contact us are on the notice-board outside of the courts. One can play as a guest to meet us before you join.

The new season has started. New members welcome. We would love to see new members from the village. Come and join us at the courts on Monday evening from 7.30pm or Saturday afternoon from 1.30pm.

Another good Saturday afternoon on the courts and this happened. We have been blessed with several rainbows over the years and they get better and better. 🌈🌈

The club has a new polo shirt and several club members now have them. The club logo is on. Hope you like it. The blue top is my preference but a range of colours were available.
Play continues through the winter and there is social play on Saturday afternoon. Come along at 1.30 to play and meet people.
The new season will start in April.

Our social evening was very successful, held on Friday in the Garden Village Pavilion. Thank you to all who contributed to the food and the raffle, and to Jimmy for the quiz. One of us managed four wins on the raffle … must be a record.

Wow where’s the summer gone. As the summer coaching programme comes to an end below is the info for the autumn courses run by our LTA licenced and qualified coaching team. All players new to the Sport welcome to any of the below sessions.

All courses will start on Sunday the 5th Sept, the courses will be 8 weeks long and the cost is £40.

After the kids half term we then continue on indoors through the winter at the nearby Gosforth Academy sports hall.

1pm Blue session for ages 4-5 (parents welcome to join in too to help their child learn the skills).
