Meet one of my gorgeous clients…Charlotte is an amazing, beautiful young women who is just 27 years old.

Devastatingly she has had her life affected by the awful illness Huntington’s disease.

Sadly her grandmother suffered from this awful illness and now her mum is suffering too.

And now… Charlotte has been tested for the gene, and unfortunately has found out she too carries the gene.

Charlotte is a truly inspiring young women and is doing her utmost to raise awareness about how this condition affects the person suffering, but just as importantly how it affects the family around them.

Both her and her lovely fiancé, Mitch, are such lovely people, and just so young to be having to deal with something as awful as this.

“Little Nuala has been fitted with a new prosthetic eye after beating an extremely rare form of cancer 🤩

Back in 2023, 10-month-old Nuala was diagnosed with a very rare cancer called Alveolar Soft Part Sarcoma, which affects just six people in England a year. Her tumour grew behind her left eye which is even more rare, leading to multiple surgeries here at Alder Hey 🏥 and eventually the removal of her left eye. Now 19 months old, Nuala rang the end-of-treatment bell in January and is adjusting well with her new prosthetic eye 😊 Nuala’s surgeon, Consultant in Paediatric Ophthalmology Mr Ankur Raj, said: “I had never seen this type of cancer affect the eye before. Nuala’s resilience has been truly amazing. We are working hard with Aintree University Hospital to make Nuala’s new prosthetic eye a perfect match.” 🤝 Mum Megan said: "Nuala amazes us every day. Despite the challenges, she's thriving and has settled into nursery so well." 💙

To say thank you for the care Nuala has received, the family is fundraising for our Charity through various events, including the Conniston Challenge in July!”

It’s so important to keep fit and exercise as you get older.

I accessed my health check 2 months ago. Blood test and sent off for checks. Back in 3 days too. Fingers crossed all was ok 👌

This month I set myself a running challenge! To run 150km on top of my normal gym sessions.

I’ve waited to do this page as was injured at start, and worried wouldn’t manage to complete it…but fortunately thanks to a massage and purchasing a massaging gun, plus stretching religiously, I’ve managed to get to 134km 💯👏👌

Bring on the last 16km this week!

So today my client messaged to let me know their INCOME PROTECTION claim has been SUCCESSFUL!!!!

I am so pleased they listened to my advise!!!

They are off work sadly due to MENTAL HEALTH.

But fortunately, 3 years ago, I advised them to take out an INCOME PROTECTION policy. And now it’s a total life saver as they are able to have some time away from work and concentrate on themselves getting better.

But STILL be able to support their wife with the Mortgage and Bills.

Just ran a quote for Mac’s pet insurance as it needs renewed.

Got me thinking, I wonder how many people are spending more on their pets insurance than their own??!!

Omg, I bet it’s a pretty high % 🤦‍♀️

I just don’t understand why people prioritise their pets over their own lives.

I totally get that pets can be expensive due to extortionate vets bills, but surely protecting your own income comes way before protecting in case your pet becomes poorly? 😷

Please, think about this, and if your in the % that is paying more for your pet, then please check this, and make sure your protecting yourself in the CORRECT way!! (And your partners/kids too)

Tomorrow I’m helping a young couple who are only 20 years old. They have a child and want to make sure they have the right protection in place!
