The Sun is finally out!

Today, we're overjoyed to share a heartwarming update about one of our beloved residents. Previously feeling rattled by the war, she's now found solace and joy in a surprising place – our garden.

Despite the language barrier, her actions speak volumes. It's a simple yet profound transformation that speaks to the power of our caring team at Ambleside.

At Ambleside Nursing Home we hosted a ‘High tea’ event in March 2024 to coincide with Easter celebrations to engage with residents, families, friends and staff members. It was well attended, residents had an opportunity to meet people, listen to conversations and stories. In line with the tradition, the chef made meal, meat, vegetables, tea and beverages whilst mixed with contemporary items of sweet and savoury. All our residents and guest enjoyed the event.

Residents recently enjoyed the Easter high tea we hosted at the care home

As part of Easter prep, residents began the month by sending invitation cards to family and friends. Staff assisted service users to make the cards with coloured paper and designs which reciprocate the Easter vibes.
Understanding the fact that the whole family may not be part of the party, they then made family stations where they named eggs with family members and pasted on cardboard and then formed a family tree.
They then gathered and decorated paper cups to be used on the party day. The paper cups now look like rabbits.
Staff along with residents planned to make decorations for the Easter day. They made wind charms with cardboard and clay. They also used water colours and forks to make faces of bunnies, chickens, etc
