Yesterday the residents enjoyed a lovely afternoon listening to stories, reading and songs performed by the adorable children from Corpus Christi School. Thank you to all the children that took part and we hope you have a lovely summer break. 🥰

Today the residents enjoyed a visit to India from the comfort of their armchairs. They even enjoyed some mango chutney and poppadoms

We had Weston Library in today with their reminiscence E Books. The residents loved looking back over the old photos and looking at some of the books that they also brought with them.

On Monday the residents enjoyed a visit from some furry friends thanks to Puxton Park outreach programme. A definite hit and I'm sure one that will be repeated.

Happy Shrove Tuesday everyone, hope you are all going to enjoy a pancake or two like our lucky residents.

Shrove Tuesday is the final day of Carnival or Shrovetide, marking the end of pre-Lent. Lent begins the following day with Ash Wednesday.

The residents enjoyed a lovely afternoon listening to Christmas Carols and readings from the lovely children of Corpus Christi school. The children did an amazing job of bringing the feeling of Christmas into the home.

Today we were lucky enough to have some lovely visitors from Noah's Ark Zoo. The residents really enjoyed learning more about the animals and having a hold or just a stroke.

We would like to say a big congratulations to our lovely Care Manager Loredana who on Friday night at the Care and support West Care Awards won the trophy for Senior Care Manager and team Leader. Along with Loredana some of the staff supported her by attending an Awards Evening at Ashton Gate.

"The Annual Care and Support West Care Awards celebrate the hard work and dedication of Care Professionals in the South West. We represent care across Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset; with some 500 Care Providers existing in these regions. With around 19,000 people working within these organisations, it is important we take time each year to acknowledge the positive impact our local sector has on the lives of the most vulnerable in society."

It was all eyes down for the residents today whilst they played an old favourite game.

Today's activity was flower arranging.

National Eat an Extra Dessert Day
Life can get a little bit hectic and stressful. Of course, exercising, eating right and practicing meditation are all ways to engage in a healthier lifestyle that can make people happier. But one other way to be filled with joy is to embrace and celebrate certain days of the year. And one day that’s certainly worth embracing is National Eat an Extra Dessert Day!

Today the residents have been talking about their favorite desserts and taking part in a dessert base quiz.

Yesterday the residents visited Italy from the comfort of their armchairs. We made Italian themed crafts, had some amaretti biscuits, pizza and some non alcoholic fizz. We talked about some interesting facts of Italy and enjoyed watching a slideshow of Milan and Lake Como.

It's National Bakewell Tart Day and what better way to celebrate than a nice cup of tea and a tart or two.

Today the residents will be busy crafting and talking about Lions to celebrate World Lion Day.
