What a wonderful story this one is… ❤️🐕🐾

These two beautiful Labradors have both been saved from the Korean dog meat
trade and are now living together in Seattle, USA.
Along with our dedicated friend, Sian Davies, we have managed to get them
flown to the States where Sian has found them a lovely adopter who has taken
both of them together! They had spent many months together at the rescue
sanctuary near Seoul. They had become best friends so finding someone who
could take them both was so important - well done to Sian!

As some of you may know, our wonderful owner Jonathan travels to Korea to help save dogs from the meat trade. His most recent visit has resulted in the next few posts…

Meet Bobby, an ex Korean police dog. We have arranged for Bobby to fly to the UK on the 21st November, via Paris.
Once he has recovered from his flight and been spruced up we will be seeking
his forever home, hopefully near to Pine Lodge so he can visit on a regular
basis.

Feeling autumnal here at Pine Lodge this week. During their weekly craft sessions with Julie, residents enjoyed making some scarecrows to display around their home. 🧡🍁🍂

We can offer staff who have an up to date DBS, robust reference checks and have completed comprehensive training, as well as having a love for good quality care and putting you at the heart of everything we do to deliver the following services to you:

🩺 Chaperone service to GP or hospital appointments

🫂 Welfare checks and companion services

As well as sponsoring many dogs flying from the dog meat trade in South Korea, Pine Lodge Care Home has purchased a truck for the helpers at the Rainbow Sanctuary, near Seoul.

With hundreds of rescued dogs living at the sanctuary, the ‘KDS’ helpers need to bring in supplies of food and other materials. The truck will also help with transporting the rescued dogs, in their crates, from the dog farms.

Importantly, the truck will be used to take the crated dogs to the airport for their outbound flights to freedom!

Our residents love to be creative, Laura has been very busy writing poetry. She has allowed me to share this with you all.

As well as bring the two yellow chararters below, Bobbie, an ex - police dog, will be joining them from Korea.

I walked Bobbie when I was working at the rescue shelter and he is very calm And obedient. Along with the other two, he will be flying to the UK in June/July.

As you may know, thanks to Pine Lodge and Restgarth Care home, we help with the transportation of several dogs to the USA each month. Unusually, these beauties are coming our way this time!

Jonathan Thrush our owner has recently been back to Korea, helping with the rescue of dogs from the meat industry.
Whilst there he made friends with 2 labradors, Boris and Lizzie.
Pine Lodge Residential Home is going to bring both dogs back to the UK.
