When I wander.......................................
donāt tell me to come and sit down.
wander with me,
it may be because I am hungry, thirsty, need the toilet,
or maybe I just need to stretch my legs..........
When I call for my mother......... (even though Iām ninety!)
donāt tell me she has died.
reassure me, cuddle me, ask me about her.
It may be that I am looking for the security that my mother once gave..............
When I shout out.................
please donāt ask me to be quiet......or walk by
I am trying to tell you something,
but have difficulty in telling you what.
be patientā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦Try to find out,
I may be in painā¦ā¦ā¦.
When I become agitated or appear angryā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦
Please donāt reach for the drugs first,
I am trying to tell you something,
It may be too hotā¦. too brightā¦ā¦too noisy,
Or maybe itās because I am missing my loved ones.
Try to find outā¦ā¦firstā¦ā¦
When I donāt eat my dinner or drink my teaā¦ā¦
It may be because Iāve forgotten how to.
Show me what to doā¦. remind me,
It may be that I just need to hold my knife and fork.
I may know what to do thenā¦ā¦ā¦
When I push you away when you trying to help meā¦ā¦,
A wash, perhaps, or getting dressed.
Maybe itās because I have forgotten what you have said.
Keep telling me what you are doingā¦ā¦.,
Over and over and overā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦
Maybe others will think youāre the one that needs the help!
With all my thoughts and maybes,
Perhaps it will be youā¦. who reaches my thoughtsā¦ā¦
Understands my fears and will make me feel safeā¦.
Maybe it will be youā¦. that I need to thank
If only I knew howā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦.

Oh, to be in England
Now that April's there
And whoever wakes in England
Sees, some morning, unaware
That the lowest boughs and the brushwood sheaf
Round the elm-tree bole are in tiny leaf
While the chaffinch sings on the orchardābough
InāEnglandā- now!!
And afterāApril, when Mayāfollows
And the whitethroat builds, and all the swallows!
Hark, where my blossomed pear-tree in the hedge
Leans to the field and scatters on the clover
Blossoms and dewdrops - at the bent spray's edge -
That's the wise thrush; he sings each song twice over
Lest you should think he never could recapture
The first fine careless rapture!
And though the fields look rough with hoary dew
All will be gay when noontide wakes anew
The buttercups, the little children's dower
- Far brighter than this gaudy melon-flower!
Job description

There will be a need for washing up as part of the role, as you will be required to collect trays after the residents have eaten and ensuring the items are clean and ready for the next service. This role also includes serving the residents hot and cold drinks during the morning daily tea round.
The role may also require occasional cover during annual leave for cleaning duties.
Generally the shifts will be 8-2 and 3-7. The rota will include split shifts
This role is a flexible role subject to meet the operational purposes of the business.
