"Congratulations to Harry Dunkinson, On his first start for the 1st XV, Harry put in an all action performance. Harryβs physicality in defence was brilliant, making big hits throughout the game and topping it off with great footwork to score a well-deserved try."

π£ U11 Match Report! π΄β«οΈ
Saturday's curtain raiser featured the U11 team, who welcomed Norwich and Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth to the club. Ahead of the games, all members of the squad, plus a few parents and siblings, spent time walking the whole of the field to clear any rubbish left over from the fireworks and are grateful to the spectators who donated to the team for their work.
The fireworks carried on when the games started. Wymondham was represented by two teams, the wizards and the warriors, who started against Norwich and L&Y, respectively. It was clear that the Wymondham teams were putting their hard work in training to great use, quickly moving the ball wide to the wings to set up regular tries, whilst working hard defensively as a team to limit scoring at the other end and create regular turnovers. Whilst both opposition kept going hard to the end, it was clear the toughest test was when the two Wymondham teams played each other.
On this occasion, it was the wizards that came out top, but it could easily have gone either way with some high-quality rugby being played by both teams.
The U11 are an absolute joy to watch each week, not only through their play but also through their teamwork and respect for each other, so do come and watch if you have a chance!
Well done all involved and we hope you had a fabulous day with us. π
We stand in silence, heads bowed low,
For those who fell long ago.
Brave hearts who answered dutyβs call,
In honour now, we remember them all.
For freedomβs light, their lives they gave,
Sacrifice etched, the brave and the brave.
Today, we pause, in gratitude, stay,
Lest we forgetβon this Remembrance Sunday.

π£ Match Report: U14βs β Holt vs Wymondham
This Sunday saw Wymondham U14βs take on Holt away following a home win against Norwich in their last competitive match. It was a welcome return to Bridge Road for the Wolverines, and whilst the spectators, unusually, had nothing to complain about, the referee indicated for proceedings to begin.
The visitors started well with Holt stoutly defending. J Gale broke the deadlock with a mesmerising run, sending even the crowd the wrong way, to go over for the first points of the game. 0-5.
Following the restart, the home side took the game to Wymondham with a dominant passage of play, resulting in their first points on the board. 7-5.
J Gayle went over for his second, which was converted by W Pattison. 7-12. Then, from the breakdown, Wymondham quickly moved the ball through the backs for A Richards to go over, converted by W Pattison. 7-19.
Holt didnβt dwell on the growing points difference and, with a very well-timed interception, showed great speed to reduce the points deficit. 12-19.
Just before half-time, W Pattison found space and went over for the last points of the half, converting his own try.
12-26 - Half-time
Half-time cakes were delivered, ungracious comments discussing the merits of dried fruit were mumbled, and both teams were ready to go again.
Second half
Consistent pressure followed from the home team with points the reward. 17-26.
With the Wolverines now awake, H Read picked up deep in his own half and ran the length of the pitch, converted by J Nottage. 17-33.
A Richards, having a great game, went across again with the home team striking back shortly after. 22-38.
All in all, a triumphant return to Bridge Road for the Wolverines against a resurgent Holt side.
Final Score
Holt 22 β Wymondham 38

Match Report: Wymondham Wasps U16s vs. Crusaders π΄β«οΈ
π Report by Coach Nat:
What a game and what a turnaround from last week! The match against Crusaders showcased a fierce competition, with both teams evenly matched in skill and determination. The final score truly reflected the contest, as every player was put to the test.
Throughout the game, we saw fantastic breakaways, particularly along the wings, supported by our teammates. Our passing was sharp, and the ability to offload under pressure was particularly impressive. Each player contributed significantly to the gameplay and put forth their best effort.
Most importantly, every member of the Wymondham Wasps played with heart, and it showed in their performance. Our support play was stronger than ever, and we demonstrated greater speed to the rucks, adapting quickly to the flow of the game.
Draws are rare in rugby, but todayβs score highlighted the evenly matched nature of the teams.
To the players reading this, I am incredibly proud of your efforts today. You executed everything I asked and more, giving 100% on the pitch. Thatβs all I ever want from you.
Well done, girls! π
A special thank you to our U12 girls for coming along to support us and for helping with water bottle duties.
