In Kirinyaga County, Mwea East Division, National Government Administrative Officers (NGAO,s) led by County Commissioner (CC) Hussein Alaso joined forces with Fortune Sacco, Carlitas associations and Red-cross Kenya to provide aid to 125 households affected by floods.
Families received essential supplies and were assured of continuous support to ensure their safety.

This is after the 48-hour notice had lapsed.
The Committee on Disaster Management and Response, comprising NGAOs, National Police Service, and NCCG, convened a Baraza at Highrise and Mugumoini locations along the Nairobi dam and Ngong River area. The aim was to raise awareness among locals about the escalating water levels, which pose a significant threat to communities in riparian zones. They urged residents to consider voluntary relocation and to adhere to safety measures amidst the ongoing flash floods.

They expressed gratitude to residents who had relocated to safer areas and convened a meeting with the Community Health Promoters (CHPS) to collaborate on flood sensitization and security matters.
Meru County Commissioner, Jacob Ouma, oversaw the return of 209 Heard of Cattle and 8 donkeys to their rightful owners in a ceremony at Bullo Astu Camp. He called for enhanced security measures and vigilance to safeguard livelihoods and ensure peace in the region.

His recent promotion to County Commissioner in March 16th, 2023, was a testament to his exemplary service and commitment.

In a door-to-door campaign in Kwale County's Msambweni Sub-County, 4 girls and 1 boy were registered at Jomo Kenyatta Primary School and Junior Secondary in Vingujini.
Additionally, 5 boys and 2 girls were enrolled in Vingujini Secondary School.
In Welmarer Sub Location, Wajir County, an Assistant Chief reported that 64 children had enrolled in Milsaded Primary School.
The headteacher of the school welcomed the new students by providing them with exercise books and pens for motivation.
The campaign is ongoing while area leaders motivated parents to enrol their children in school.
In Kandavaywek village, Tinderet Sub-county, Nandi County, another boy was escorted by the Assistant Chief of Setek, a village elder, and his mother to A.I.C Setek Secondary School.
The principal warmly received them while making sure the young man was admitted to Form 1, contributing to the success of the 100% transition initiative.
The Assistant Chief of Sokosik visited Evans Kipkosgei's home in Nandi County, Tinderet Sub-county, to address his non-enrollment in Form One.
Accompanied by Evans' father and grandfather, they went to Sokosik Secondary School, where the principal admitted Evans, ensuring his enrollment in line with the 100% transition policy.
The National Government Administrative Officers (NGAO's) team from Mivumoni in Msambweni Sub-County, Kwale County, successfully enrolled 7 girls and 5 boys at Eshu Junir Secondary along with 1 boy at Kilulu Vocational Training Center.
In Msambweni Sub County, Kwale County, National Government Administration Officers (NGAO's) in Kingwede Shirazi conducted door-to-door follow-up for the 100% transition initiative at Shirazi Sub location.
During the exercise, 2 boys and 3 girls were successfully enrolled in Ramisi Primary School and Junior Secondary, respectively.
A fortnight ago, Chief Mkongani Location, accompanied by village elders in Kubo Division of Shimba Hills Sub County, Kwale County, successfully facilitated the enrollment of four students at Mtsamviani Secondary School.
The initiative is ongoing, with continued efforts to enrol more students.

In a heartening display of support, well-wishers generously covered their fees and shopping expenses.
In Kapkemel Village, Chesumei Sub County, Nandi County, the Assistant Chief of Kimngeru Sub Location played a pivotal role in facilitating the admission of 2 students to Chemuswa Secondary School.
Despite facing initial challenges in paying school fees, the two students were warmly received by the school principal.
In Kapkitany village, Nandi County, a young boy was escorted back to Father Martin Boyle Secondary School by the Chief of Soba location and Assistant Chiefs from Kapkitany and Kamilet sub-locations respectively. The young boy had left the school without authorization the previous week and upon his return, the Deputy Principal warmly welcomed him back, emphasizing the significance of the 100% Transition Mop-Up initiative in ensuring that every student continues their education journey.
