A Leading Contracting Company in Middle East and Africa is looking for an Internal Auditor for its central support office in Lebanon.
Job Duties:
-Assist in identifying and evaluating company group’s risk areas and provide critical input to developing the annual audit plan.
-Perform audit procedures, including identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing and analyzing evidence, and documenting the auditee’s processes and procedures.
-Conduct interviews, review documents, develop and administer surveys, compose summary memos, and prepare working papers.
-Identify, develop, and document audit issues and recommendations using independent judgment concerning reviewed areas.
-Communicate or assist in communicating the audit results via written reports and presentations to Internal Audit management.
-Develop and maintain productive auditee and staff relationships through individual contacts and group meetings.
-Perform related internal audit work as assigned by audit management.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree (in accounting, business administration, Engineering, or a related field) from an accredited university.
-Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and Chartered Accountant (CA) is a plus.
-3 to 4 years of full-time experience in an auditing company
(preferably Big 4).
-3 to 4 years of full-time experience in a corporate construction company in GCC and/or Africa.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-Considerable knowledge in applying internal auditing principles and practices.
-Knowledge of the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and the Code of Ethics developed by The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA)
-Knowledge of program policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
-Considerable skill in using a computer with word processing, spreadsheets, and other business software to prepare reports, summaries, and analyses.
-Experience and working knowledge in an ERP environment.
-Communication skills (English and Arabic), including active listening and presenting findings and recommendations.
-Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with co-workers and staff and to work effectively in a professional team environment.
-Ability to travel for 4 to 5 months annually to GCC & Africa.
-Considerable skill in assessing the effectiveness of internal controls, identifying significant exposures, analyzing transactions, and detecting changes in key risks and/or control effectiveness.
-Skill in developing appropriate recommendations to address exposures
