We are going to Korea 🇰🇷! 🙌🙌 Our beloved sister have been living and working in Korea for the past 14 months and we are visiting her.

What it means is that we won’t be able to process any order during the time that we are away. Last call for orders would be on next week Friday the 19th of April. We encourage our loyal supporters to stock up before we head off ✈️.

For the past 3 years we have had the pleasure of using Swiftly as our online store platform. Unfortunately at the end of this month, Swiftly’s team has decided to discontinue the platform.

We have searched high and low for the past two months to find a suitable replacement and we have successfully moved our online store to a new platform.

This allows YOU our biggest supporter to order directly from us. The link to our store can be found on our bio.

There may still be some glitches or errors that we have not seen yet. We hope that you do let us know if you encounter any.

2022 has been a very interesting and exciting times for us here at the Kasuma household. Especially this month of August.

As we all know, food prices has been creeping up on us and they aren’t stopping 😢 Unfortunately that means the cost to make our jars has increased too and to be able to thrive for years to come, we have to raise our prices. This will all be implemented in our website on the 1st of September.

We know how hard it is to stick to our planned out food budget while also creating food that are good for our bodies and souls. So we thank YOU if you keep choosing us to grace your pantry 💕

The winter is officially here! Chilli oils are a great way to warm up your winters, but we know not everyone can take that heat - the mango sweet chilli has a beautiful blend of sweet and slightly spicy (very mild).

🥳 we started our 2022 with making a batch of our Vegan XO! ✨✨

We ended 2021 on a high and we wanted to start 2022 the same way ☺️

Our Vegan XO sauce has been so popular since we started selling them last September!Who knew lockdowns could birth out something so delicious 🤤

It's a labour of love but one that is worth it for sure! Every time someone buys a jar from us, there's this joy in our hearts knowing that another household, another family get to enjoy the fruits of our labours.

The $15 price tag may deter some people from getting them… that is why we are inviting you to taste the vegan XO sauce and experience it yourself!

We will be at TWO Saturday markets this weekend to open with 2022 with a BANG! 💥

Let's be honest, 2021 has not been the year that most of us has hoped for. It was difficult and challenging to say the least. The amount of pivoting that many people and businesses has to do especially in the last five months put most of us to our breaking point. 

But even in trying times, new opportunities came, new communities were formed, new skills, new learnings to carry to 2022. 

We wanted to say a big THANK YOU, to everyone that has supported us this year. It was the biggest year for us yet and we would have not done it without your massive help. Every single order, shares, and encouragement means a lot to us. No one knows what 2022 will be like but all we can do is to strive and give our best shot every single day!

Happy New Years! May 2022 be a better year, a greater year, a year full of joy for all of us! We hope that you are all having a nice little break, just like we are!

This week has basically summed up what life is, there’s lots of ups but there’s also lots of hard work. Staying up until 2am, so that you can organise both your FT job and your passion project is no easy feat.

Today marks the first day of .kitchen hitting the farmers market in Auckland. What was meant to happen four months ago - finally came through today. We were very anxious this week, up until the first customer this morning.

The community driven takes new vendors in like family from the beginning, even way before we started this journey.

It was amazing to see all the people trying our products in front of us for the very first time in a long time! Those painful faces from eating our extra hot chilli oil was definitely the best expressions today 🥵 🤣

Thank you to those who came and supported us today! Thank you for your kindness, your feedback and thank you for coming by and saying hi! It was great to put the faces to the names that have been ordering from us through lockdown 🥰

it’s been a while since we posted here… how are you all doing?

there’s been lots of restrictions easing since we last posted. Picnics. Gatherings of 25. Malls reopening.

funny how some of us can get used to restrictions quite quickly, and some, not so.

anywho, here’s a lovely way to use our chilli oil - the classic roast pork (Chinese style), stir fried greens, with spring onion oil and chilli oil to perfect the combo! ✨

magical? indeed.

Originally XO sauce are meant to scream luxury. With expensive items like dried scallops and dried prawns as their main ingredients you would understand why.

Our XO is more humble than their siblings, but it certainly packs the same punch. This dish is a simple stir fry of green beans and edamame beans which has been elevated by the addition of our vegan XO sauce.

Simply stir fry your choice of greens in a hot pan, add a little water to steam them in the pan if they are a little tough. Then add our XO towards the end and mix through & you got yourself an easy side dish for the table.

Today would have been the fourth week for us being at the CITY CENTRE MARKET (Akl CBD)], but lockdown had changed our plans.

Once it is safer, we are proud to announce that we will be at CITY CENTRE MARKET (Akl CBD)] every Saturday - and we’d love to see you face to face (most likely with a mask on). The city markets has beautiful local stall holders, from oils, honeys, breads and pastries, flowers, Turkish baking, .vulcanlane coffee, pastries, nut butters, fresh local produce and there’s also us! Condiments for your kitchen ✨

If you are buying grocery this weekend, definitely check out these local stall holders, they are open for online shopping - otherwise, you’ll find us every Saturday 8:30am-12:30pm at the city markets, in front of the Ellen Melville Centre - Freyberg Square.

The opens up the local square to music, food and giving opportunity for the community to connect. We love that ❤️
