The Reserve Command (RESCOM) of the Philippine Army in collaboration with the 503rdBd, 5ID, PA, 103rdBn ,and 3CMOC of 5CMOBN, CMOR, PA and Pasil Blood Collecting led by Marlyn O. Gammong, Med Tech, Office of Provincial Health Care led by Ferdinan A. Nonog, Provincial Blood Program Coordinator, One Kalinga Blood, Philippine Association of Medical Technologies,Kalinga Dental Association and Tabuk City Health Office Blood Collecting Unit facilitated the PA RESCOM-wide simultaneous blood donation activity with the theme" Dugo Ko, Buhay Mo, Alay ng Tagapgbuo ng Hukbong Mamamayan para sa Bagong Pilipinas" at Gymnasium,Kalinga State University, Bulanao Campus, Tabuk City, Kalinga. This initiative aims to support the nation's blood banks and provide much-needed resources to hospitals across the country.
The event, organized by RESCOM, PA, took place in various locations nationwide, with reservists and volunteers coming together in a united effort to contribute to this life-saving cause. This blood donation activity is part of RESCOM's ongoing commitment to serve the community and provide vital support in times of need.

His motivation was rooted in a clear understanding that ROTC's rigorous training programs offered a structured environment for developing the said abilities. By embracing this opportunity and training, he aimed to build his leadership capabilities and prepare himself for future challenges.
As Cadet Ordoña progressed through the Advanced Reserve Officer Training Course, his perspective evolved significantly. Initially, he focused on the physical and disciplinary aspects of the training, but he soon recognized its broader impact on his overall development. The program's emphasis on strategic thinking, teamwork, and effective communication expanded his view of leadership, highlighting the importance of mental strength and emotional intelligence. This comprehensive growth equipped him to face complex challenges with greater resilience and insight.

AFP hosts 25th MSGC Meeting
CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) successfully hosted the 25th Multi-Sector Governance Council (MSGC) meeting at the AFP General Headquarters on August 22 here that is part of ongoing efforts to further strengthen governance, transparency, and accountability within the AFP.
AFP Chief of Staff, General Romeo Brawner Jr. led the AFP in the meeting that was attended by key stakeholders from various sectors. The MSGC serves as the AFP's advisory body that provides guidance and oversight in the implementation of the AFP's Transformation Roadmap.
During the meeting, the participants reviewed the progress of ongoing initiatives and discussed strategies to further enhance the AFP’s governance and organizational performance. General Brawner emphasized the importance of sustained collaboration with the MSGC in achieving the AFP's vision of becoming a world-class armed forces that is a source of national pride.
The 25th MSGC meeting also highlighted the council's role in fostering transparency and ensuring that the AFP remains responsive to the needs and expectations of the Filipino people. The AFP continues to work closely with its partners in the MSGC to promote good governance and uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism in all its endeavors.

AFP meets with PCW and OPAPRU to enhance gender, peace Initiative
CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) held a joint meeting with representatives from the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) and the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity (OPAPRU) on August 20 at the AFP General Headquarters here. The meeting aimed to strengthen collaboration in advancing gender-responsive initiatives and peacebuilding efforts within the AFP and across the country.
The AFP Chief of Staff, General Romeo Brawner Jr., met with the delegates led by Dr. Macario T. Jusayan, Chief of the Sectoral Coordination Division of the PCW, and Mr. Rene A. Gandeza Jr., Project Program Officer V of the Women, Peace, and Security Division of OPAPRU.
During the meeting, the participants discussed ongoing and future programs that align with the Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) agenda and the integration of gender perspectives in military operations and peace initiatives.
The joint meeting served as a platform to exchange ideas, share best practices, and explore new avenues for collaboration between the AFP, PCW, and OPAPRU. It also reinforced the shared vision of fostering an inclusive environment where the contributions of women are recognized and valued in peace and security efforts.
The AFP, through its continued partnership with key government agencies, remains steadfast in its mission to uphold human rights, promote gender equality, and contribute to lasting peace in the Philippines.

The Benguet State University Reserve Officer Training Corps Unit held their first training day, which also served as their ROTC orientation on 17 August 2024, at the Benguet State University-Covered Court from 0800H to 1200H.
The orientation commenced with opening remarks from Dr Bryant O Botengan, the NSTP Director, who warmly greeted the newly enrolled ROTC cadets and cadettes. SSg Cornelio Cudli (ASG) PA also attended the orientation, explaining the objectives, mission, ROTC rules, and regulations. During the event, cadet officers performed a silent drill exhibition. LTC Raymundo S Sarac PA (Res) also delivered his closing remarks, emphasizing three essential reminders to the cadets and cadettes: "To always aim high, pray, and stay focused."
The ROTC orientation ended successfully, thanks to the dedication and collaboration of the military personnel, advanced ROTC Cadets, and the enthusiastic engagement of the MS1 cadets and cadettes in their learning process.

PA and US Army bring humanitarian assistance program to Mindanao
Philippine Army and U.S. Army teams wrapped up initial site surveys in Mindanao on August 16, 2024 as they gear up for humanitarian civic action (HCA) missions that will bring much-needed aid and services to local communities as part of the ongoing Exercise Salaknib.
The HCA Program is a key part of Exercise Salaknib, the annual Army-to-Army training exercise aimed at ensuring the readiness of both Filipino and American soldiers in responding to crisis events including human-induced and natural disasters. The PA and US Army teams visited the cities of Zamboanga, Davao, General Santos, and Cagayan de Oro and the municipality of Kalilangan, Bukidnon which will benefit from the said program.
Among the core projects under the HCA Program are the construction of Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR) facilities and school buildings. It also includes the implementation of various health and agricultural capacity-building activities which will address the socio-economic issues in the communities within the training exercise areas.

AFP Joins Philippine ROTC Games 2024 National Championship
CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) joined the Opening Ceremony of the Philippine ROTC Games 2024 National Championship on August 18, 2024 at Cavite State University, Indang Cavite. The event was graced by Senator Jinggoy Estrada as Guest of Honor and Speaker.
In his keynote address, Senator Estrada emphasized the importance of the ROTC program in fostering national pride and preparing the youth for future leadership roles. He also praised the dedication of the cadets and the commitment of the AFP in supporting the country’s young athletes.
The Philippine ROTC Games 2024 National Championship is a vital platform for showcasing the discipline, teamwork, and athletic prowess of the ROTC cadets from across the country. The event underscored the AFP’s continued support and collaboration with educational and training institutions in enhancing the ROTC curriculum.

𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐋𝐓𝐇 𝐈𝐒 𝐖𝐄𝐀𝐋𝐓𝐇: 𝙹𝙾𝙸𝙽𝚃 𝙵𝙾𝚁𝙲𝙴𝚂 𝚂𝚄𝙿𝙿𝙾𝚁𝚃 𝙼𝙴𝙳𝙸𝙲𝙰𝙻 𝙰𝙽𝙳 𝙳𝙴𝙽𝚃𝙰𝙻 𝙼𝙸𝚂𝚂𝙸𝙾𝙽 𝙵𝙾𝚁 𝚃𝙷𝙴 𝚢𝙰𝙿𝙰𝚈𝙰𝙾
Kabugao, Apayao - The recent 3-day joint medical and dental mission in Apayao, spearheaded by the Apayao Provincial Hospital under the leadership of Jarette Bermejo-Agana, RMT, MD, MHA in collaboration with the 98th Infantry "Masinag" Battalion and the 1505th Mobile Company, RMFB15, was a significant effort to address the healthcare needs of remote communities.
This was held in the barangays of Sitio Guimitan, Brgy Lenneng, Sitio Buguit, Brgy EKB in Kabugao, and Brgy Caglayan in Conner, Apayao from August 13 to 15, 2024.
This activity was conducted in line with the ongoing project known as "Bringing Universal Health Care Services Towards a Sustainable Program Implementation Yielding to a Resilient yApayao" (Project BUTSY).
The initiative focused on bringing essential medical and dental services to residents who often struggle with limited access to healthcare.
The mission underscored the importance of community health and the power of collaboration between different sectors to enhance the well-being of the province's most vulnerable populations.
Residents expressed their gratitude for the care and support they received, highlighting the positive impact of the mission.
This event represents a crucial step in Apayao's ongoing efforts to improve public health and ensure a healthier future for its communities.
