CALL FOR DONATIONS

The University of San Carlos is organizing a relief mission to help SVD parishes composed of 8,331 families who are affected by the unprecedented flooding and landslides in Agusan.

We are encouraging the Carolinian community to extend their support through cash or in-kind donations such as food, toiletries, mats, mosquito nets, blankets, and kitchen utensils.

Thank you very much for your kindness and assistance. Your support will be a long way in helping our brothers and sisters bounce back from this calamity.

In line with this, USC together with the SVD Southern Province, will sponsor the 8th day Novena Mass on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 2:30 PM.

As we sing and wave our hands, may we put the Sto. Niño as a source of peace in our walk of faith.

Today, 177 new Carolinian Lawyers are to take their oath and sign the roll of attorneys in the SMX Convention Center Manila, Seashell Lane, Pasay City.

As they reach the end of their journey with the University of San Carlos, we wish to congratulate each and every one of them for their successful performance in the 2023 Bar Examinations. In sum, we have garnered the following achievements:
3rd Best Performing Law School (among law schools with more than 100 candidates)
90.91% Passing Rate for First Time Takers as opposed to the 36.77% National Passing Rate
A total of 177 New Carolinian Lawyers

With this, the University of San Carlos College of Law wishes our new Carolinian lawyers all the best in their chosen careers.

USC Law ranks 3rd nationwide, has 90.91% passing rate

The USC College of Law produced a 90.91% passing rate compared to the 36.77% national passing rate in the 2023 Bar Examinations administered by the Supreme Court of the Philippines. The exam results were released on December 5, 2023.

With 170 successful bar passers, USC Law is the only Cebu-based university that was among the top-performing law schools with more than 100 candidates nationwide.

Moreover, USC Law increased its ranking to 3rd in this 2023 Bar Examination from being 4th in the 2022 Bar Exam.

For several years now, USC Law has been consistently ranked as one of the best law schools in the country. During the 2020-2021 Bar Exams, USC Law’s Batch 2020 had a 98.13% pass rate while Batch 2021 garnered 98.04%.

A total of 3,812 out of 10,387 Bar takers successfully hurdled the 2023 Bar Examination under Bar Chair Associate Justice Ramon Paul Hernando.

The University of San Carlos ranked 88th among Southeastern Asia universities according to the ranking body Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) which released the Asia University Rankings on November 8, 2023.

Out of 857 institutions that were ranked in Asia, only 16 universities are from the Philippines.

USC ranked highest on employer reputation and academic reputation. It’s also recognized as the 2nd best institution in the Philippines in the citations per paper category.

In June, USC debuted in the QS World University Rankings.

The University of San Carlos celebrates the Feast of San Carlos Borromeo for whom our University is named.

In line with this, a holy mass will be celebrated on November 6, 2023, at 9:00 AM at the Church of St. Arnold Janssen & St. Freinademetz in USC Talamban Campus.

Faculty, staff, and students who wish to attend the Mass will be excused from their classes or work duties from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM.
