It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas... and all I want is a new portfolio! 🎄🎁

To cap off the year, the Philippine Web Designers Organization is organizing its first year-end Portfolio Jam: 5 portfolios, 5 minutes each to present. Our panel of experts from the corporate, startup, freelancing, and agency worlds will collectively provide 10 minutes of actionable feedback per portfolio presenter.

+ we have a special guest speaker who will give some tips and tricks on how to create an effective portfolio (can you guess who it is? 👀)

We encourage anyone from fresh grads, early-career designers, career shifters, and experienced designers to apply for the portfolio jam!

This event will be held ONLINE via Zoom on December 21, 2023 from 7PM - 9PM Philippine Time (GMT+8). This is a charity event for the benefit of a PWDO volunteer and their housemates who recently lost their home in a fire. All proceeds from the event will be disbursed by PWDO Leads to the beneficiaries.

New innovations in Artificial Intelligence and Large Language Models (LLMs) like GPT-4 are set to radically change the way we think and work with technology, products, and interfaces. Currently, much debate is being done around how AI technologies can potentially drive down the cost of building products.

For a country where organizations from the West historically come to outsource design & engineering at a lower cost, we ask: What does this mean for Filipino web designers, engineers, and technologists?

The Philippine Web Designers Organization is BACK after a three-year hiatus! 🤩🥳

Join us this April 1, 2023 from 4PM to 5PM PHT LIVE on our page as we have an intimate panel discussion about AI in the Philippine Design Industry.

Panelists:
Mika Aldaba - Senior Consultant and Data Science ESG Lead @ EY
Toni-Jan Keith Monserrat - CTO @ Senti AI and Google Developer Expert for Web Technologies
Niaw de Leon - Principal Consultant @ Cognible
