Parents' Recollection at the School of Deaf Education and Applied Studies, held on June 29, 2024, was a celebration spearheaded by the Center for Deaf Esteem And Formation (CDEAF). The event commemorated the shared experiences and milestones of our community. As we gathered to reminisce and honored the growth and achievements of our students, we also looked ahead with hope and determination towards a future filled with continued support and empowerment for all.

The Filipino Sign Language Learning Program (FSLLP) prioritizes holistic student development while meeting state standards. With optimal class sizes and skilled educators, we foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where each student receives personalized attention. FSLLP equips students with fundamental sign language skills, complemented by seminars, workshops on visual-gestural communication, and community engagement activities. This comprehensive approach enhances understanding of the Filipino Deaf community's language and culture.

The Bachelor in Sign Language Interpretation (BSLI) is a rigorous three-year program that prepares students with essential linguistic skills and cultural understanding to excel as professional sign language interpreters. Through a comprehensive curriculum encompassing linguistics, history, interpreting theories, techniques, field assignments, and research opportunities, BSLI not only equips graduates to facilitate communication but also to serve as cultural bridges between Deaf and hearing communities, embodying the role of cultural ambassadors.

Congratulations to Justine Camille M. Javier, for achieving the top position in Global Payments Worldwide's historical records as a Deaf top performer! Her accomplishment is a testament to her dedication and leadership. As an SDEAS Batch 109 member and current treasurer of the Alumni Association SDEAS Chapter, Jamille exemplifies excellence and commitment. The Bachelor in Applied Deaf Studies (BAPDST) Program within the Deaf Studies major empowers Deaf learners to explore their identity, language, culture, and communities. This prepares them to excel as leaders, mentors, volunteers, and advocates, ensuring their rights, self-determination, and full potential are realized. By preserving Deaf heritage and nurturing culture, Deaf Studies cultivates productive, engaged community members and national contributors.
