Happy Global Handwashing Day! 💧🤲🧼

Handwashing has always been a neglected habit, but in this pandemic, we can see how a small act such as this can prevent contamination and eventually contracting diseases.

Wash your hands. No excuses.

We’ve come up with the SaniWash Portable Handwashing Station which promises to be easy-to-build, easy-to-use, easy-to-transport. It is foot-activated so no hand contact will be made with the user. It is rechargeable, efficient, and can stock 2L of liquid soap.

If we can’t spray you down, we’ll make you wash your hands.

DOES NOT endorse bleach (hypochlorite) solutions for misting tent applications. Although it is an effective disinfectant as it kills many pathogens including viruses on surfaces, it is an irritant that may cause ocular damage, skin and respiratory irritation (especially since bleach solutions may evolve chlorine gas) when used for human applications.

We resonate with the statement released by the Integrated Chemists of the Philippines (ICP) on their FB page dated March 29, 2020 discouraging the use of bleach for disinfection booths. Please consult professionals first before deciding on the disinfectant to use for your SaniTents. Our recommended disinfectant, on the other hand is something that professional chemists have decided on and consulted with experts as something safe for disinfection booth use. Stay safe and informed everyone!

IS BY THE PEOPLE AND FOR THE PEOPLE!

It has come to our attention that one entity has tried selling disinfection tents that make use of our design on a shopping app. While the source was already taken down per our request, we still give out a stern reminder to everyone. While we offer open source designs, we do not want this to be made to an opportunity for profiteering at our expense. Please be wary of sellers of our misting tents that carry our designs and sell it at unreasonable prices many-fold higher than our estimated price - THESE ARE NOT ASSOCIATED WITH US. Upon our team’s investigation, they are using dangerous disinfectants such as bleach and at relatively high concentrations which are unsafe for public use and is something we strongly advise against. Our disinfectant solution, on the other hand, is safe and we have had professionals and experts back it up with data and research.

Please do not patronize these sellers and kindly report such cases to us when you see them through this FB page so we can alert the public. This is a time for bayanihan and unity, not for business schemes. Thank you for your continued confidence in SaniTents PH!

Due to the many queries we have received on the projected cost of the project, SaniTents PH is now providing a COST ESTIMATE of the three main components of the SaniTents. The cost estimate also includes the projected cost of labor to assemble the components, subject to the rates charged for service by each LGU.

Feel free to use this in planning out your budget for the construction of SaniTents in your respective LGUs and health institutions.

For the complete breakdown of the list and cost of materials you may refer to the masterfile which can be found here: bit.ly/SaniTentsPHDesign

SaniTents PH would like to reiterate that we are trying to avoid public disclosure of the solution to ensure the safety of non-professionals and prevent panic buying. Please refer to the previously posted flowchart on how to obtain information on the solution or coordinate with your respective LGUs regarding this matter.

In compliance with the guidelines set by the Integrated Chemists of the Philippines, we want to make sure that only licensed chemists (or those in allied fields) can prepare the solution to ensure the quality of the solution and the safety of the public.

Thank you for your cooperation.

How will you finally see SaniTents installed in your areas? Get to know the process!

So far, we have made our booth structure and diffuser system available to the public, but what of the disinfectant solution? We can fully implement our sanitation booths, including the disinfectant solution to LGUs and private entities when they reach out to us! Per a statement from the Integrated Chemists of the Philippines, non-professionals CANNOT be preparing disinfectant solutions. As such, we have to follow protocol. We can only procure the solution identity, background and preparation protocol to our qualified volunteers as well as referred professionals from your area. This move is also to prevent public panic buying. We don't want our LGUs who are in need of the solutions most to be in competition with the general public. We hope you understand our sentiments.

The flowchart for this process is illustrated below for everyone's reference! As of today, we have emailed 3k of LGUs who have registered under our contact list and we're still waiting for their responses. LGU representatives who have registered may want to check their emails (including their spam folders) and see if they've received our instructions!

We extend our gratitude to everyone who has reached out so far and we cannot wait to be your partners in fighting against COVID19! Keep safe!

In the service of the Filipino people,

The SaniTents PH Team
